Track the cloaked hunter through Caimanes, survive its plasma attacks, and claim the Bio Mask and cloaking reward.

The Predator is back in Ghost Recon Wildlands. After years off the table, the crossover hunt returns with the August 2026 update as a side mission called The Jungle Moved, set in the eastern Bolivian jungle. It sends you after a camouflaging alien that downs targets in one hit, so knowing exactly where to go and how to fight matters more than raw firepower.

Quick answer: Travel to Caimanes, talk to the scared girl to start The Jungle Moved, investigate the three marked clue sites, then track the Predator by its thermal signature when it uncloaks, use cover to survive its laser and disc attacks, kill it, and leave the blast radius before it self-detonates.

Start The Jungle Moved in Caimanes

The mission lives in Caimanes, the region on the far eastern edge of Bolivia. Open the tac-map, right-click the icon for the region boss El Cerebro, and pick The Jungle That Moved from the mission list to begin tracking it. If you are far away, fast-travel to Caimanes Delta, which sits closest to the objective marker.

Head to the objective marker and speak with the frightened girl. She describes how the “jungle” came alive and killed the soldiers around her, sparing her because she posed no threat, and calls the entity “El Monstruo”. Talking to her triggers the investigation phase.

Investigate the three clue sites

After the conversation, three investigation points appear ahead. Two sit on the left bank of the river and one on the right. If night falls, switch on Night Vision to keep the markers and terrain readable. Visit each spot and interact with the object of interest.

Area 2 (south of Area 1)Skulls and spines-16.8665, -59.4675
Area 3 (across the river)A large spaceship-16.7455, -59.4411

Interacting with the spaceship at Area 3 sets off a roar from the jungle. The objective then updates, pointing you roughly one kilometer beyond the last site. The roars grow louder as you close the distance, which confirms you are heading the right way.

How the Predator fight works

When you reach the final area the objective flips to “Kill the Predator” and the fight starts. The Predator cloaks itself and blends into the dark forest, so the reliable way to spot it is Thermal Vision, which lights it up the moment it uncloaks to attack. All Rebel abilities are locked once the encounter begins.

It has two attacks you must respect. A ranged laser (its plasma caster) shows a visible line in the dark and instantly downs you or an AI teammate on contact. It also throws a grenade disc that can drop several teammates at once if they are grouped together. After you land a hit while it stands still, it usually teleports a distance away, so expect to reposition constantly.

Tactics that keep you alive

  • Fight around big rocks and trees to break its line of sight. This is the single most important habit in the encounter.
  • If you see the laser settle on you or a teammate, shoot the Predator immediately, then prone or duck behind cover before it fires.
  • Keep the squad spread out so a single disc throw cannot down everyone.
  • When a teammate goes down, let the rest of the crew revive them. Reviving yourself often leaves you exposed to the next hit.
  • Use the ammunition crate at the center of the arena to restock, ideally right after the Predator has taken a shot and teleported away.
  • Bring a strong sniper such as the Desert HTC, and call in Rebel support before the fight starts since those abilities lock once it begins.

Beyond that, it comes down to landing shots every time it appears until its health drains. Tier One Mode is worth enabling here. It hides enemy radar indicators and raises incoming damage, but it also boosts your own weapon damage. Since the Predator downs you in one hit regardless, the added risk barely matters and you keep the damage bonus.

If you cleared this hunt back when it first appeared in the game, you already own the Predator’s cloaking mechanism reward. It does not make you fully invisible, but it sharply cuts enemy detection range and works well here. Stay crouched to stay cloaked, plant mines around the arena, and pick the Predator off as it periodically spawns in to target your allies.

Confirm the kill and escape the blast

Once its health is gone the Predator drops and the objective changes to “Confirm the Predator’s death”. Approach the body carefully, because as you confirm the kill it activates a self-detonation sequence and a countdown begins. Sprint out of the highlighted area before the timer ends. Getting caught in the explosion means a game over and a restart.

You know it worked when the objective reads “Escape the area before the explosion”, the blast goes off behind you, and the “Mission Complete” banner appears for Caimanes with “The hunt is over” and a +1500 XP reward.
