Copper is one of the first metals you need as your workshop grows in Graveyard Keeper 2, and its raw form, Copper Nuggets, comes from a single reliable spot near your base. Once you know where the vein is, you never have to worry about running short.
Quick answer: Equip your pickaxe and mine the ore vein on the cliff face west of the Yard in the Inquisition Base, next to the fishing dock. Each mine yields three Copper Nuggets.

You know it worked when the mining animation completes and three Copper Nuggets appear in your inventory. The vein has no known mining limit, so you can return to the same spot repeatedly for a steady supply.
What Copper Nuggets are used for
Copper Nuggets feed into Bronze Ingots, which you craft at either a Furnace 1 or Furnace 2. Bronze Ingots are central to upgrading gear, unlocking better weapons against the zombie horde, and producing other materials such as Bronze Nails.
There are two recipes for Bronze Ingots. One uses your mined copper, the other uses salvaged Bronze Scraps pulled from the barrels and trash piles around your Yard.

The copper vein exists so you keep an endless source of Bronze Ingot materials once you have cleared every broken barrel and trash pile from your Yard, since those scraps eventually run out.
Unlock the Bronze Forge before smelting
Before you can smelt copper into ingots, you need the Bronze Forge from the Metallurgy Tech Tree. It costs 20 Metallurgy Tech Points, the red gems awarded for completing metal-related tasks across the world.
Unlocking the Bronze Forge also grants the ability to make Tin and gives you the Sluice Box Blueprint. With Tin in hand and copper flowing from the cliff vein, both parts of the copper recipe are covered, and you can keep upgrading gear without hunting for more raw metal.
