Grow a Chicken Fighter: How to Get Haunt Eggs Fast

Haunt Eggs are the gateway to the spooky-themed chicken pool in Grow a Chicken Fighter, but you cannot buy or find a Haunt Egg producer at the start. You reach one by climbing a fixed chain of chickens, where each hatch unlocks the egg type needed for the next. Once a Zombie Chick lands in your coop, the grind flips from slow and random to fast and reliable.

Quick answer: Farm Nest Eggs with a Classic Rooster to hatch a Cosmo Brat, use it for Scratch Eggs to hatch a Slugger Hen, use that for Arena Eggs to hatch a Strike Hen or Enforcer Rooster, farm more Arena Eggs to hatch a Creepy Clown, then hatch its Haunt Eggs until you get a Zombie Chick, which lays Haunt Eggs at a 100% rate.

The Haunt Egg progression chain

Every stage exists to feed the next. You keep one chicken in the coop, collect its eggs while you play or sit AFK, and hatch those eggs until the target chicken appears. Then you swap it in and move on.

Reach a Haunt Egg source

Put your Classic Rooster in the coop and let it lay Nest Eggs while you AFK. Collect a stack, then hatch them until you get a Cosmo Brat, an Uncommon chicken. Other Scratch Egg layers such as Farmer Rooster or Viking Rooster also work, but Cosmo Brat is the priority.
Swap Cosmo Brat into the coop. It lays Scratch Eggs at a 100% rate, so this stage moves quickly. Hatch Scratch Eggs until a Slugger Hen appears.
Deploy the Slugger Hen to collect Arena Eggs. Hatch them and aim for a Strike Hen or an Enforcer Rooster, since both lay Arena Eggs at a 100% rate and remove the randomness from the next stage.
Run the Strike Hen or Enforcer Rooster to build a large Arena Egg supply. Keep hatching until you land a Creepy Clown, your first chicken that actually drops Haunt Eggs, at a 75% rate.
AFK the Creepy Clown to produce Haunt Eggs. Hatch those Haunt Eggs and hold onto the first Zombie Chick you get. It has a 23% hatch chance from Haunt Eggs and lays Haunt Eggs at 100%, which makes it the engine for the rest of your farm.

Note: Creepy Clown is the one Haunt chicken that does not lay Haunt Eggs every time. It splits at 75% Haunt Egg and 25% Arena Egg, which is why replacing it with a Zombie Chick matters.

Build a fast Zombie Chick farm

Once the Zombie Chick is in your coop, it produces Haunt Eggs on every lay, so you no longer depend on Creepy Clown’s lower rate. To speed it up, level up or fuse the Zombie Chick.

Around Level 75 and above, the egg-laying interval can drop to roughly 55 seconds. At that pace, and with consistent collection, a single Zombie Chick can generate about 60 Haunt Eggs per hour. The exact number varies with how quickly you collect and how the game handles egg production during your session.

Zombie Chick stateEgg intervalFarming rate
Level 75+ (leveled or fused)~55 seconds~60 Haunt Eggs/hour

You know it is working when the Zombie Chick drops a Haunt Egg every cycle in the coop rather than skipping lays. If eggs stall, the usual cause is skipping a stage in the chain or replacing a 100% layer with a lower-chance one too early.

Haunt Egg hatch rates

These are the chickens you can pull from Haunt Eggs, listed by hatch chance. Every Haunt chicken lays Haunt Eggs at a 100% rate, with the single exception of Creepy Clown.

Why keep farming Haunt Eggs

The Zombie Chick is the tool, not the finish line. With a steady 100% Haunt Egg supply, you can keep rolling the pool for chickens like Shadow Rooster and Vampire Rooster to round out your collection. The rare pulls at the top matter most for combat, and the Reaper Rooster, a Cosmic chicken with a sub-1% chance, is a strong pick for the PvP Tower, the Pits, and PvE. Because it sits at the bottom of the odds, a fast Zombie Chick farm is the practical way to open enough eggs to chase it.
