The Ace Rooster is a Secret-tier fighter in Grow a Chicken Fighter, arriving with the Promotions update. It stands out for its very high base Power and Attack straight from the hatch, along with a golden crown and matching attire. The catch is that it only comes from the Trick Egg, which sits at the end of a long breeding chain.

Quick answer: Hatch a Founder Rooster from a Thunder Egg, use it to farm Colossus Eggs, hatch a Catalyst Hen from a Colossus Egg, then use the Catalyst Hen to produce Trick Eggs. Keep opening Trick Eggs until the Ace Rooster hatches (less than 1% chance per egg).

The Ace Rooster only hatches from the Trick Egg, and it is one of five possible results from that egg. Its individual hatch rate is below 1%, making it the rarest outcome in the pool. The Trick Egg was added in Update #3 and is mainly produced by the Catalyst Hen.

The full path to hatch an Ace Rooster

Reaching the Trick Egg takes several stages of breeding. Each step feeds the next, so follow the chain in order.

Hatch a Founder Rooster from a Thunder Egg. Thunder Eggs are laid by the Static Chick, so keep that chicken active until you get one.

Deploy the Founder Rooster to farm Colossus Eggs. It has a 25% chance to lay one, and equipping Battle Charms raises that chance. You will need a large stockpile of these eggs for the next stage.

Hatch a Catalyst Hen from a Colossus Egg. This is a Secret chicken with a hatch chance below 1%, which is why you want plenty of Colossus Eggs on hand.

Place the Catalyst Hen in your coop or Incubator. It lays an egg every 10 minutes, with a 98% chance of a Colossus Egg and a 2% chance of a Trick Egg. Wait for a Trick Egg and open it.

Swap in any chicken you hatch from a Trick Egg. Fighters born from the Trick Egg lay Trick Eggs more often than the Catalyst Hen, so even a Domino Chick speeds up the farm. Keep opening Trick Eggs until the Ace Rooster appears.

Note: Every egg has a small chance to produce an Inverted variant, so you may pull an Ace Rooster with the Inverted mutation if you are lucky.

Best skill for the Ace Rooster

The Ace Rooster hatches with the Royal Flush skill. That ability falls short on damage compared to the current meta skills, so most players replace it. The strongest option is Black Sun Cataclysm, which drops a dark orb from the sky that explodes for heavy damage across a wide area and knocks enemy chickens back.

To move Black Sun Cataclysm onto the Ace Rooster, merge it with an Eclipse Hen. Before pressing Merge, lock the Black Sun skill so it carries over to the Ace Rooster. You will know it worked when the Ace Rooster shows Black Sun Cataclysm as its active skill after the fusion completes.

How to raise the Ace Rooster’s stats

The Ace Rooster already carries some of the highest base stats in the game, and its scaling is what makes it a top-tier fighter. Combine these methods to push its Health, Power, and Attack higher.
