Grow a Chicken Fighter: How to Get the Reaper Rooster From Haunt Eggs

The Reaper Rooster only hatches from Haunt Eggs at under a 1% chance, so a Zombie Chick farm is the fastest way to hunt it.

The Reaper Rooster is the top prize inside the Haunt Egg in Grow a Chicken Fighter. It carries Cosmic rarity and the highest base stats among fighters, which is why players grind hundreds of eggs to land one. The catch is a hatch chance under 1%, so the real work is building a reliable Haunt Egg farm before you ever see the bird.

Quick answer: Hatch Haunt Eggs until the Reaper Rooster drops (under 1% each). The most consistent way to mass-produce Haunt Eggs is a Zombie Chick, which lays them at a 100% rate when it is not fused with another chicken.

Where the Reaper Rooster comes from

The Reaper Rooster hatches exclusively from Haunt Eggs. It sits at Cosmic rarity and is the rarest fighter that egg can produce, with a hatch chance below 1%. In practice, players tend to see it after opening around 200 Haunt Eggs, though the actual number varies with luck.

There is one alternate source. Both the Reaper Rooster and the Doll Hen can also drop from the Blazing Egg, which appears during the Hot Event. If that event is running while you grind, take part in it to add a second chance at the pull.

Haunt Eggs are far easier to reach than Colossus, Ascension, or Blazing Eggs. Several chickens lay them, but the drop rates differ a lot, so your chicken choice decides how fast you farm.

Build a Haunt Egg farm with a Zombie Chick

The Zombie Chick is the goal because it guarantees Haunt Eggs every cycle. The problem is that it also comes from Haunt Eggs, so you have to bootstrap the chain from early eggs first. Follow this path in order.

Hatch Nest Eggs until you pull a Cosmo Brat, then use it to farm Scratch Eggs.
Hatch Scratch Eggs until a Slugger Hen appears, then deploy the Slugger Hen to produce Arena Eggs.
Hatch Arena Eggs until you get the Creepy Clown. The Creepy Clown lays Haunt Eggs at roughly 70–75%, which is your entry point into the Haunt line.
Use the Creepy Clown to farm Haunt Eggs, then keep hatching those eggs until a Zombie Chick drops.
Fuse Zombie Chicks together to cut down egg-laying time, then run the fused Zombie Chick to mass-produce Haunt Eggs. This is the setup you leave running while you chase the Reaper Rooster and the Doll Hen.

Tip: You can boost egg output on Haunt Egg layers by improving their Fertility Gene through fusions or the UFO Invasion Event.

Give the Reaper Rooster the Voodoo skill

On its own, the Reaper Rooster hits hard but has only moderate health, which makes its native ability underwhelming. The fix is the Voodoo skill, which reflects incoming damage back at the attacker, including hits from abilities. That turns the bird into a tank that survives long Tower runs and wins Arena battles.

Voodoo belongs to the Doll Hen, a Divine-rarity chicken that also drops from Haunt Eggs at about a 2% chance. Once you have both birds, you transfer the skill through fusion.

Open your Flock, select the Reaper Rooster, choose Fuse, and pick the Doll Hen as the second chicken.
On the fusion screen, click the Doll Hen’s Voodoo ability to lock it. Without the lock, the fused chicken may end up with a different skill.
Use your second free lock to keep a cosmetic if you want, then confirm the fuse. The result is a Reaper Rooster carrying the Voodoo skill. If you get lucky, the fusion can roll the Inverted mutation, which changes the bird’s look and adds perks.

You get two fusion locks for free. Extra locks cost Robux, but locking the Voodoo skill is all you strictly need, so there is no reason to spend real money here.

Alternate build: Stormcall for PvP

If you prefer raw aggression over the defensive reflect, swap Voodoo for the Stormcall skill. Stormcall summons four lightning strikes around the fighter and deals heavy damage to everything nearby, which suits PvP scrums. To build it, fuse the Reaper Rooster with a Storm Colossus and lock the Stormcall ability before you confirm.

How to confirm the pull worked

You know a Haunt Egg produced the Reaper Rooster when the Cosmic-rarity rooster lands in your Flock after hatching. Once it is there, the fusion is successful when the Voodoo (or Stormcall) skill shows on the Reaper Rooster’s card in your inventory rather than on the donor chicken.

If the fused bird comes out with the wrong ability, the lock was not applied before you hit the final Fuse button. The skill only transfers when its lock icon is active on the donor’s ability during fusion, so check for that yellow lock next time before confirming. With the farm running and the lock in place, the grind is mostly a matter of patience against that sub-1% drop rate.
