The Harvest Moon event brings a new weather mechanic, a dedicated currency, six seeds, five pets, cosmetics, and a cooperative team goal to Grow a Garden. It launched on August 1, 2026, and its whole economy runs on one loop. You summon the moon, harvest Moonbeam-mutated fruit, sell it for Moon Coins, and spend those coins on rewards or milestone progress.
Quick answer: Place 10 fruits on the pedestals around the central platform to summon the Harvest Moon for 10 minutes. Every plant then has a 50% chance to gain the Moonbeam mutation on harvest. Sell those fruits at the Moon Sell Stand for Moon Coins, then push through the 7-stage Moon Coin Madness track to unlock the Lunar Lantern Seed.
How to summon the Harvest Moon
Summoning happens at the pedestals surrounding the central platform. Each pedestal asks for a specific fruit, and some require that fruit to already carry a set mutation rather than any plain version of it. Favorited fruits cannot be placed. Once all 10 pedestals are filled, the Harvest Moon weather activates for the entire server.

You will know it worked when the weather changes server-wide and your plants begin rolling the 50% Moonbeam chance on harvest. If you do not have the required mutated fruit, you can skip an individual pedestal for 39 Robux, or skip the entire offering for 299 Robux to summon the moon immediately.
Tip: The Moon Staff from the Moon Event Shop attracts extra Moonbeam mutations while the weather is active, so equip it before the moon rises.

Not every pedestal demands a mutation. Some accept a plain fruit, while others need one that already carries a specific mutation. The fruit types and mutations tied to the summon are fixed.
| Accepted plants | Possible required mutations |
|---|---|
| Strawberry, Blueberry, Tomato, Corn, Watermelon, Apple, Pumpkin, Bamboo, Coconut, Cactus, Dragon Fruit, Mango | Normal, Wet, Chilled, Shocked, Frozen |
Best way to farm Moon Coins
Moon Coins come from one source only. You earn them by selling Moonbeam-mutated fruit at the Moon Sell Stand near the central platform. The more valuable the base fruit, the more coins each sale pays, so higher-tier crops carrying Moonbeam are worth far more than common ones.

The fastest method spreads a single Moonbeam mutation across as many fruits as possible in one moon window, then duplicates the harvest. It relies on the T-Rex pet, seven Mimics, and the Lib Bird.
Moon Coins serve two purposes at the same time. They count toward the Moon Coin Madness milestones and can be spent in the Moon Event Shop. Feed the milestone track first, since finishing it unlocks the Lunar Lantern Seed.
Moon Coin Madness and the Lunar Lantern Seed
The Moon Coin Madness track has 7 milestone stages. Coins you earn count toward the bar automatically, and every milestone you clear pays out an item such as a seed, pet, cosmetic, or currency. Clearing all 7 stages unlocks the Lunar Lantern Seed as the final reward. Teaming up with other players fills the bar faster.

Rewards come from three places overall. The Moon Event Shop restocks every 15 minutes and takes Moon Coins, Robux, or Trade Tokens depending on the item. The Moon Coin Madness track pays out per milestone. The Team Event rewards cooperative progress.
All Harvest Moon seeds and how to get them
Six seeds arrived with the event, spread across the Seed Shop, the Moon Event Shop, and the milestone track.
| Seed | How to get |
|---|---|
| Moongrain Meadow | Seed Shop |
| Lunar Lantern | Clear all 7 Moon Coin Madness milestones |
| Lunar Lily | 10 Moon Coins in the Moon Event Shop |
| Fennel | 16 Moon Coins in the Moon Event Shop |
| Crescent Reed | 25 Moon Coins in the Moon Event Shop |
| Astral Grape | 50 Moon Coins in the Moon Event Shop |
Moongrain Meadow is worth grabbing early. Its passive mutates a nearby fruit with Moonbeam every 10 minutes, matching the moon’s cooldown cycle. That gives you a steady Moonbeam source even during the downtime between summons.
Moon Staff, eggs, and crates
Alongside seeds, the event adds a gear item, three egg tiers, and a cosmetic crate.
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Moon Staff | Attracts extra Moonbeam mutations during the Harvest Moon weather window |
| Moon Egg | Hatches one of four pets: Opossum, Lunar Moth, Night Horse, or Moon Dragon |
| Premium Moon Egg | Higher-rarity version of the Moon Egg |
| Starry Premium Moon Egg | Rarest egg tier with the best odds for top pets |
| Moon Crate | Contains one of six Harvest Moon cosmetics |
New pets and their abilities
Five new pets came with the update. Four hatch from the Moon Egg, while the Vampire Squid is bought separately in the Moon Event Shop for 60 Moon Coins.

| Pet | Source | Ability |
|---|---|---|
| Vampire Squid | Moon Event Shop (60 Moon Coins) | Occasionally gives a random fruit the Blood Lip mutation; active Night-type pets gain extra XP per second |
| Opossum | Moon Egg | Reduces the cooldown of Night-type pets |
| Lunar Moth | Moon Egg | Occasionally triggers Moonsong, restoring nearby pets’ hunger and speeding up nearby crop growth |
| Night Horse | Moon Egg | Sacrifices a random crop to give another fruit the Moonbeam mutation |
| Moon Dragon | Moon Egg | Mutates fruit with Moonlit or Moonbeam based on your Night pets; each mutation can give a random pet +1 level |
The event ends on a date that has not been confirmed yet, so there is no fixed deadline to plan around. Keep the moon on cooldown rotation, funnel every Moonbeam sale into the milestone track first, and the Lunar Lantern Seed will land as your capstone reward.
