Both stores are running a half-price GTA 5 Enhanced deal, but the bundles and deadlines differ.

Both stores are running a half-price GTA 5 Enhanced deal, but the bundles and deadlines differ.

GTA 5 Enhanced is discounted by half on both Steam and the Epic Games Store right now, and each store packages the offer a little differently. Steam bundles in extra GTA Online cash and content, while Epic sells the standalone Enhanced release for less up front. The two deals also expire on different dates, so the store you pick changes both what you pay and how long you have to decide.

Quick answer: Buy the GTA 5 Enhanced & Great White Shark Card bundle on Steam for $19.79 through September 7, 2026, or buy GTA 5 Enhanced on the Epic Games Store for $15 through September 17, 2026.

Steam price and what the bundle includes

On Steam, the promoted deal is the GTA 5 Enhanced & Great White Shark Card bundle for $19.79, marked down 56% from $44.99. The offer ends September 7, 2026. This is the pricier headline number of the two stores, but it packs in more.

The bundle covers GTA 5 Enhanced and GTA V Legacy, the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack, and a GTA$1.5 million Great White Shark Cash Card to spend in GTA Online. If you only want the game itself, the standalone GTA 5 Enhanced package on Steam, which includes Enhanced, Legacy, and the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack, is listed at $29.99.

Epic Games Store price and what you get

The Epic Games Store cut GTA 5 Enhanced by 50%, from $29.99 down to $15, as part of its End of Summer Sale. That sale runs until September 17, 2026, giving you about ten more days than the Steam offer.

The Epic purchase includes both GTA 5 Enhanced and GTA V Legacy for PC, with Legacy provided for hardware that does not meet the Enhanced requirements. It does not include the Great White Shark Cash Card that comes with the Steam bundle.

If you already own GTA 5

You may not need to pay anything. GTA 5 Enhanced is a free upgrade for anyone with an official copy of GTA 5 on PC, redeemable through the Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam, or the Epic Games Store. Epic has also given the base game away for free on several occasions, and those copies can be upgraded to Enhanced at no extra cost.

The Enhanced release splits into two builds on PC. GTA 5 Enhanced is the upgraded version with higher resolutions, higher frame rates, ray tracing features, AMD FSR and NVIDIA DLSS support, faster loading, and 3D audio. GTA V Legacy is the older build kept available for hardware that cannot run the Enhanced upgrades. You can migrate Story Mode progress and your GTA Online character from Legacy to Enhanced once.

GTA Online on PC needs no subscription

On PC, GTA Online does not require PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass. Once the game is installed, you can jump straight into current in-game events such as the Kortz Center Heist without paying for an additional online service.

The timing lines up with GTA 6, which launches on November 19, 2026. Buying GTA 5 Enhanced now gives you the single-player campaign with Michael, Trevor, and Franklin plus ongoing GTA Online content ahead of the new game. Whichever store you choose, check the end date first. The Steam bundle closes on September 7, 2026, and the Epic sale runs through September 17, 2026.
