Every Standard, Premium, and Collector’s Edition reward, early access window, and pre-order link for the July 28 launch.

Master Chief’s first adventure is coming back as a full rebuild, and Halo: Campaign Evolved arrives on July 28, 2026 across Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC through Steam. Pre-orders are already live in three flavors, and the differences between them come down to early access, digital cosmetics, and a box full of physical collectibles.

Quick answer: Pre-order any edition to unlock the Foundry Armory Pack. Buy the Premium ($69.99) or Collector’s Edition ($199.99) to play up to five days early starting July 23, 2026. The Standard Edition costs $49.99 and launches on July 28.

Every edition includes the complete remake, which covers the original 10-mission campaign plus Operation: METEORITE, a new three-mission arc starring the Master Chief and Sgt. Major Johnson. Crossplay, cross-progression, and up to 4-player online co-op are standard across all three. The table below breaks down what separates them.

The Foundry Armory Pack lands in your inventory no matter which edition you reserve. It’s a set of campaign cosmetics built around the Master Chief’s Mark V Mjolnir armor and his signature rifle, mixing retro looks with a couple of flashier styles.

Premium Edition: Alpha Halo Armory Pack and digital extras

Stepping up to Premium adds the Alpha Halo Armory Pack, which bundles five Master Chief armor skins and six weapon skins. You equip them from the Customization menu and use them in solo or co-op play.

  • Splintered Warden Armor skin
  • Lochagos Armor skin
  • Mobile Armor Type 117 Armor skin
  • Timberwolf Armor skin
  • Gestalt Armor skin

Premium also folds in the Digital Story & Art Collection. That covers the Art of Halo: Campaign Evolved digital artbook, the Halo: Hungry Buzzards digital short story by Troy Denning (a companion piece to Operation: METEORITE), and a digital game manual styled after the original 2001 booklet.

Collector’s Edition contents

The Collector’s Edition is the physical showcase. It carries everything from the Premium Edition and surrounds it with shelf pieces aimed at longtime fans. Console versions ship a physical disc plus a Premium Edition upgrade voucher, while the Steam version comes as a voucher code for the base game and Premium content together.

  • 12″ Master Chief statue by Dark Horse
  • LED replica of Cortana’s data chip
  • Collectible SteelBook case
  • Three 11×17″ concept art prints
  • Physical manual modeled on the original Halo: Combat Evolved booklet
  • Physical game disc (Xbox Series X and PS5) and Premium Edition upgrade code

The Collector’s Edition is sold through the Xbox Game Studios Gear Shop, and the buy link on Halo Waypoint routes there. It ships to a defined list of regions across North and South America, Europe, and Oceania, with packaging localized by territory. If you’re outside those regions, the digital Premium Edition is the closest equivalent.

Early access and launch timing

The game goes live globally on July 28, 2026 at 8 AM PDT, with July 29 timing in Japan and select Asia-Pacific markets. Premium and Collector’s Edition owners can jump in up to five days sooner, with early access opening July 23 at 8 AM PDT (July 24 in those same Asia-Pacific markets).

The Standard Edition does not include early access. If playing on day one matters more to you than collectibles, Premium is the cheapest way to secure the head start.

How to pre-order on each platform

On PC, open the Steam store page, pick your edition, and complete checkout. The game appears in your Library and becomes playable on its release date.
On PS5, head to the PlayStation Store listing, choose the Standard or Premium bundle, and pay to add it to your library.
On Xbox, open the Microsoft Store on your Series X|S console or the Xbox store page, select your edition, and confirm the pre-order. You can download it once access opens.

You’ll know the pre-order worked when the title shows in your library or download queue with a release-date label. The Foundry Armory Pack unlocks in the Customization menu once the game is installed and you reach the relevant screen.

Game Pass and Xbox Play Anywhere

From July 28, the game is a day-one release for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, so you don’t need to buy the Standard Edition to play it on launch day. Subscribers who want the cosmetics and digital extras can add the Digital Premium upgrade for $20.00.

Digital editions support Xbox Play Anywhere, which carries your progression, saves, and customization between Windows PCs and Xbox Series X|S at no extra cost. That, combined with full crossplay and cross-progression, means you can swap between console and desktop without losing your place on the ring.

For most players, the Standard Edition delivers the entire campaign and the new missions for the lowest price. Premium is the pick if you want the head start and the extra skins, and the Collector’s Edition is reserved for fans who want the statue, SteelBook, and the rest of the physical kit on a shelf.
