Observation Haki is the defensive skill in Haze Seas that lets your character automatically dodge incoming attacks and read enemy players in a fight. Some guides call it Ken Haki, but it is the same ability. The unlock is a straight purchase from a single trainer once you clear a level and cash gate, and every level after that comes from actually dodging in combat.
Quick answer: Reach Level 600 with at least $150,000, go to the Observation Haki Trainer at Marine Base Town in Sea 1, pay the fee, then press R to toggle it on for three automatic dodges.
Observation Haki unlock requirements
Both conditions are checked at the trainer, so you cannot buy the skill until you meet the level and hold the full cash amount at the same time. Cash comes from quests and redemption codes, while level comes from clearing quests and defeating enemies across the islands.

|---|---|
| Level | 600 |

The trainer stands at the base of a building in Marine Base Town, right beside the Navigator NPC. You can grab the game from its official Roblox page if you are just starting out.
R to toggle the skill on. It does nothing sitting in your inventory, so you have to activate it in combat. What Observation Haki does when active
With the skill turned on, you dodge incoming attacks automatically until your dodge pool runs out, after which it refills on a short cooldown. The remaining dodge count appears above your head while the Haki is enabled, so you can see how many charges you have left.
It also sharpens what you can see in a fight. Enemy players show up from farther away and even through walls, with their health, name, and level displayed. It does not reveal ordinary NPCs. Treat the dodges as a burst of protection rather than a permanent shield, since the pool is limited.
How to confirm the unlock worked
After you pay, a system message confirms your Observation skill leveled up and awards the Clairvoyant title. The skill also binds to the R key on your hotbar. Press R and you should see the dodge counter appear above your head and enemy detection switch on. Three dodges confirms Level 1 is active.
If the trainer refuses to teach you, it is almost always one gate. You are either below Level 600 or short of the full $150,000. Meet both at once, return to the same NPC, and the purchase goes through.
Leveling Observation Haki from 3 to 8 dodges
Observation Haki does not level from more cash purchases. After the first buy, it only levels by successfully dodging attacks while the skill is active. Every evasion against mobs, bosses, or players earns EXP toward the next level, and each level raises your maximum dodge count. Level 6 is the current cap.
| Level | Requirement | Dodges |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Buy from the Observation Haki Trainer | 3 |
| 2 | 100 successful dodges | 4 |
| 3 | 500 successful dodges | 5 |
| 4 | 2,000 successful dodges | 6 |
| 5 | 3,000 successful dodges | 7 |
| 6 | 4,000 successful dodges, then complete the Observation Expert quest | 8 + player tracking |
You reach Level 5 purely by racking up EXP. Level 6 requires more. After 4,000 dodges, visit the Observation Expert at Flower Capital in Sea 2 and complete a quest that asks you to defeat 5 players, defeat 10 island bosses, and pay $10,000,000. The reward is 8 dodges plus the ability to see nearby players’ health, stamina, level, and equipped Fruit, Fighting Style, or Sword within 250 studs.
Note: Levels only progress in order. You cannot skip straight to Level 6 without clearing every step before it.
Ultra Instinct skin for Observation Haki
Ultra Instinct is a cosmetic effect for Observation Haki. To claim it, reach Level 6, dodge a total of 20,000 enemy attacks, then return to the Observation Expert and hand over 1,000 Gems and 2 Shrine Relics. Shrine Relics drop from the Treasure Shrine Raid.
Since the skill only levels through dodging, the fastest way to build it up is to keep it toggled on while you grind. Leave it active against mobs and bosses you can already handle, and the dodge charges climb on their own until you are ready for the Flower Capital quest.
