Heavyweight Fishing’s newest update adds two bosses, four skills, and a character that only unlocks once you own a specific skill. It also came with a batch of milestone codes tied to like and visit counts, and one banner that is being pulled from the Summon menu.

Quick answer: Redeem 60KLikes, 50KLikes, 36MVisits, 35MVisits, and 34MVisits from the Code button on the left of your screen, then defeat the Mountain Dragon Whale to get the “Pacifies the Clouds” skill, which unlocks the new character.

Working Heavyweight Fishing codes

Codes are case-sensitive and single-use per account. Most of them also carry a minimum level requirement, so a low-level character will get rejected even when the code itself is still live. Visit-milestone codes generally need level 50, while like-milestone codes sit at level 20 or higher depending on the tier.

How to redeem codes in Heavyweight Fishing

Open Heavyweight Fishing and wait for your character to fully spawn on the island. Codes will not register while the game is still loading in.

Click the Code button on the left side of the screen. A small window opens with a text box labelled for the code.
Type or paste one code exactly as written, with no leading or trailing space. Capital letters matter, so 36MVisits will fail if entered as 36mvisits.
Press Redeem. Your Ticket, Crystal, or Trait Reroll totals update on screen immediately, which is how you confirm it went through. If nothing moves, the code has either expired or your level is below the requirement.

If a brand-new code refuses to work, leave the game and rejoin. Fresh codes only apply on servers running the updated build, and rejoining places you on a newer one.

New bosses: Mountain Dragon Whale and Golden Dragon Fish

Two bosses arrived with the update. The Mountain Dragon Whale is a secret boss and is the one that matters most for progression, since it drops the skill gating the new character. The Golden Dragon Fish is the other addition.

Skills are the main tool for landing bosses. They stun fish, deal damage over time, and in some cases make you immune to boss skill damage, so building a usable skill loadout comes before boss hunting.

New skills and where each one comes from

Four skills were added, and none of them come from the summon banners. Each has a fixed source, so there is no rolling involved.

How to unlock the new character

The new character is not summoned and is not bought. It unlocks the moment you obtain the “Pacifies the Clouds” skill, which means the Mountain Dragon Whale is the only route to it. Beat the boss, take the skill drop, and the character becomes available in your roster.

Character levelling is handled at The Shadow, an NPC you walk up to in the world. The same menu shows your full character roster, including existing entries such as Bo Chang, Chu Xin, and Blue Di.

The Egoless Banner is being removed

Heavyweight Fishing runs two skill banners, the Taiji Banner and the Egoless Banner. The Egoless Banner is scheduled to be taken out of the Summon menu in the next update, so any skill you want from it needs to be pulled before that happens. No official removal date has been confirmed.

Both banners run on the same pity system. Thirty summons guarantee a Legendary, 120 guarantee a Mythical, and 1,000 guarantee a Secret. Summons cost Tickets or Crystals, which is exactly what the milestone codes hand out, so redeem before you start pulling.

Why a code is not working

There are only a handful of reasons a valid-looking code fails. Working through them in order takes under a minute.

  • The code expired. Milestone codes are pulled once the next milestone lands, and expired codes cannot be recovered.
  • Your level is too low. Check the requirement column above before assuming a code is dead.
  • Casing or spacing is wrong. Copy the code directly rather than typing it, and delete any space that comes along with it.
  • You are on an old server. Rejoin to land on a server running the current build.
  • You already redeemed it. Each code works once per account and gives nothing on a second attempt.

New codes arrive when the game crosses a like, visit, or active-player milestone, and they tend to be posted first on the developer’s official Discord server. Because they are cut as soon as the next milestone rolls over, redeeming the current batch the day you see it is the safest habit.
