Hellraiser: Revival Gate Puzzles – Solving the Hand, Head, and Tongue Statues

Every detour, key item, and Configuration cube input needed to open all three park gates.

Every detour, key item, and Configuration cube input needed to open all three park gates.

After Sunny is freed from the Field of Souls, Aidan has to recover three hearts for her. The path to the first heart runs through a park with three sealed gates, each tied to a statue missing a body part. Each statue piece hides behind a long detour, and once you return it to its gate you still have to complete a Configuration cube puzzle before the gate opens.

Quick answer: Retrieve the hand from the mansion, the head from the cabin, and the tongue from under the well, then enter each cube solution below. A gate opens the instant the shape drops into the statue’s chest.

Configuration cube solutions for all three gates

Each gate’s final step is the same mechanism: adjust the two faces of the Configuration cube until the resulting shape matches the statue. Keep these inputs handy once you have the matching statue piece installed.

GateFirst faceSecond faceRotation
HandChange 4 timesFlip, change 4 timesRotate twice
HeadChange 2 timesLeave untouchedNone
TongueRotate onceFlip, change onceIncluded above

After each set of inputs, confirm the configuration. The shape fitting into the statue’s opening is your confirmation that the input was correct, and the gate unlocks.

Hand gate: recovering the statue’s hand from the mansion

The hand sits inside a locked case in a mansion near the park. Reaching it means fighting through the grounds, surviving a boss you cannot kill yet, and collecting two smaller statues to open the case.

Turn right where you meet the Merchant, then ascend the broad staircase to the mansion. The front doors are locked, so clear the courtyard enemies to make room to search.
Move to the right side of the grounds and check the garage area. The bolt cutters are sitting on a table there. Pick them up.
Head to the courtyard’s left side and continue to its far corner, then turn to find a basement entrance. Cut the lock with the bolt cutters and go down, collecting any ammunition, crafting materials, and melee weapons inside.
Step into the elevator to trigger a boss, backed up by waves of regular enemies. Lean on melee weapons before burning through bullets. You cannot kill this boss here, so just survive until it retreats, then ride the elevator up into the mansion.

Collect both statues to open the hand’s case

The hand is displayed in the middle of a room, but the case stays locked until you place two statues taken from elsewhere in the house.

Go upstairs to the office with the large executive desk. The drawing on the desk shows the pattern for the safe behind you. Match it to open the safe and take the first statue. The input sequence for the lock is Right twice, Left once, Top once, Right three times, then Top three times.
Head to the piano room on the same floor and take the side lever off the phonograph. Carry it down to the dining room, find the second phonograph near the curtains, and attach the lever to collect the second statue.
Before placing the statues, clear out the hidden room under the staircase for ammo and supplies. Enemies spawn the moment you take the hand, so you want to be stocked.
Set both statues into the case to claim the missing hand and the Resurrection Key, then deal with the enemies that appear.

Escape the mansion through the gas room

With the hand in hand, every exit is locked. You need a security card, which means opening one more room first.

At the base of the main staircase, unlock the doors with the Resurrection Key. Beyond them, three statues can be adjusted; a large illustration on the exit door depicts the correct stance for each.
Toxic gas begins filling the room, so work fast. Interact with the statue holding the scale once to balance it, interact with the statue left of the door twice so it holds the flagpole upright, and leave the third statue alone since its mask already matches. The exit opens, letting you grab the Bedroom Key.
Take the Bedroom Key to the red door upstairs. On the console inside, open the notebook and pull out the security card tucked between its pages.
Go back down to the main entrance, use the card on the reader mounted beside the door, and leave the mansion. Install the hand on its gate statue, then enter the hand configuration from the table above to open the first gate.

Head gate: the cabin and the bridge lever

A horde of undead waits past the first gate, so restock ammo at the Merchant before you go through. The head statue sits on an armchair inside a cabin along the path.

Enter the cabin and interact with the head on the armchair. Enemies immediately start forcing their way in.
Grab the stack of wooden planks near the exit and board up the windows to slow the attackers. After the fight, an explosive enemy blows out the floor and drops Aidan into the water below.
Under the cabin, collect two items before leaving. The Foundation Relic sits by one of the wooden support pillars and sells well, and the L-shaped lever rests on the nearby rocks.
Face the hole in the floor and use the Climb Up prompt to return inside. Go out the cabin’s rear door, attach the L-shaped lever to the bridge handle, then lift the bridge to restore the path to the gates. Install the head, then enter the head configuration to unlock the second gate.

Tongue gate: three golden cubes and the well

Through the head gate, you reach an intersection with four paths. The straight route ends at a well sealed by a locked railing. Opening it requires three golden cubes, each hidden down one of the other routes.

Golden cube locations

  • Playground roundabout, resting on the corpse.
  • Gazebo, inside with another dead body.
  • Pier, inside a boat you pull in using the rope.

Every cube pickup brings a wave of enemies. Recover and reload after each collection before going for the next one.

Open the well and find the tongue

Bring all three cubes back to the well and place them in the mechanism. Unfold the rolled-up paper nearby and arrange the puzzle to match the illustration on it. The protective railing unlocks when the arrangement is correct.
Descend the well and find the room with the evidence board. The missing tongue is on a table there.
The ladder won’t take you straight back up. Find the wall panel with loose wires and connect them to unlock a door. An optional flesh statue nearby points you toward interactive objects that reward coins once you trigger all of them.
Follow the main route into a blue corridor where two fully armored enemies spawn, one ahead and one behind. Avoid getting pinned between them and take the staircase back up to the park. Install the tongue and enter the tongue configuration to open the final gate.

After all three gates are open

The third gate opens onto a new path ending in a boss fight. Before heading on, save and visit the Merchant to get ammo or upgrade your weapons. You can shoot the boss while throwing fire with the Configuration cube; using a Shotgun loaded with burning rounds ends the fight considerably faster.
