Hellraiser: Revival: How to Find the Missing Statue Head and Open the Gate

Clear the swamp, survive the cabin siege, recover the Crank Handle, and finish the head gate's Genesis Configuration puzzle.

Clear the swamp, survive the cabin siege, recover the Crank Handle, and finish the head gate’s Genesis Configuration puzzle.

The missing head is the second statue piece you collect on the way to freeing Sunny in Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival. It sits inside a cabin deep in the swamp beyond the park gates, and picking it up kicks off a defensive fight before you can carry it back to the courtyard and open the locked gate.

Quick answer: Grab the Statue’s Head from the cabin armchair, survive the siege, pick up the Crank Handle under the floor, lower the bridge, place the head on the statue, then change one side of the Genesis Configuration twice and confirm.

Work through the swamp path to the cabin

Open the gate from the central courtyard and follow the overgrown swamp trail. Craft or buy some ammunition before you commit, because the fight at the end of this route is long. You will pass an abandoned Serenity Park snack cart with coins to loot, and several Unworthy enemies ambush you along the brick and wooden walkways.

Watch the shallow water on the way through. A Bear Trap is sitting in the swamp that you can equip and set down on the bridge planks to catch approaching enemies. Herbs are also waiting on a ruined stone pillar, which you will want for crafting bandages and medkits later.

Further along, the trail glows with blue luminescent residue and more enemies pour in. Use your pistol and the puzzle box to clear them, then push through to the campsite.

Optional pistol upgrade at the campsite

Check your map for the campsite marker near the blue tent. Take out the lone enemy there, ideally with a stealth takedown from behind, and open the red case on the ground to collect the Pistol: 45 Super Rounds upgrade along with some coins. This is optional, but it is worth grabbing before the siege.

Loot the cabin and pick up the Statue’s Head

Head up the hill toward the secluded cabin with smoke rising from its chimney. Before you touch anything important, clear out the interior. There are herbs for crafting bandages and medkits, pistol and shotgun ammo, gunpowder, a lockpick, and crafting materials scattered across the rooms. A small floor safe can be opened with the lockpicking minigame for extra supplies.

The Statue’s Head rests on an armchair next to the fireplace in the main room. Interacting with it immediately triggers the fight, so stock up and craft everything you can first.

Banishing the Unworthy enemies restores both your Health and your Suffering, so lean on banish finishers during the fight to stay topped up.

Survive the cabin siege

Deal with the first enemy. A monster materializes inside the main room the moment you take the head. Shoot it down and banish it to clear the room.
Grab the Wooden Boards from the stack in the front room and board up the open windows. Walk up to each window and use the board-up prompt to seal it.

Defend the windows as waves of enemies tear at the planks. When a barricade breaks, return to the entryway stack for more boards and re-seal it. Mix firearms with the Genesis Configuration’s attack to thin out the crowd at each opening.

As the battle nears its close, a creature plunges from overhead, dragging you through the cabin floorboards into the waterlogged crawlspace below. This forced drop is scripted and signals the siege’s end.

Grab the Crank Handle and lower the bridge

You wake in the dark, flooded space under the cabin. Wade through the water and pick up the Crank Handle lying among the rocks on the floor. This is the piece that operates the bridge mechanism outside. While you are down here, you can also find a Foundation Relic near one of the wooden support pillars, a valuable item to sell to the Merchant.

Look up at the hole in the floor for a Climb Up prompt and haul yourself back into the cabin through the broken wall. Head out onto the back porch, fit the Crank Handle into the winch mechanism, and operate it to lower the drawbridge.

Cross the bridge and run the trail back to the central statue courtyard. There is a save point and a merchant table here if you need to restock before the puzzle.

Solve the head gate’s Genesis Configuration puzzle

Move to the headless statue and attach the Statue’s Head at its neck. Then examine the chest cavity and select the Genesis Configuration puzzle box to bring up the alignment puzzle. Match the shape shown by the blue silhouette.

This one is short compared with the hand gate. Press L1 to change the configuration of one face twice, and leave the opposite face untouched. Press X to confirm. The box locks into the chest slot with blue energy and the gate parts open.

  • Change one side’s configuration two times.
  • Leave the other side as it is.
  • Confirm to slot the box into the statue’s chest.

When the configuration matches, the box snaps into place and the statues slide outward as the barred gate opens. That confirms the head gate is done, and the path ahead leads toward the missing tongue and the next stretch of the park.
