Which banners to spin, when to stop, and how color and generation synergy shapes your first 5-star team.

Rerolling in hololive Dreams lets you restart the early game repeatedly until you pull the 5-star Oshis you want before locking in your account. The whole loop takes about five minutes, and doing it early puts multiple high-rarity characters in your hands that would otherwise take a long grind to earn. The game launched globally on July 23, 2026 for iOS, Android, and Steam.

Quick answer: Spend your pre-registration red gems (summons) on the Beginner Support and Holodori Gacha banners, wishlist up to three 5-star Oshis, and reroll until you land a strong starter. Finish before you reach Level 3 to keep the reroll window open.

How rerolling works in hololive Dreams

Rerolling means pulling on the gacha, checking your results, and resetting if you don’t get what you want. Your currency comes from the red gems handed out as pre-registration rewards, also called summons. Those gems fund pulls on the banners where 5-star Oshis appear.

Landing 5-star Oshis early speeds up your progress noticeably. Without rerolling, these characters are close to impossible to get until you grind to around Level 24, so an early pull saves a lot of time. You can install the game from the official listings before you start.

Which banners to reroll on

There are three banners, but only two matter for free-to-play rerolling. Spend your red gems on the ones that accept summons and skip the paid banner entirely.

Use the wishlist to raise your pull odds

Before you spin, you can wishlist up to three Oshis. Wishlisting raises how often those characters appear in your pull, which improves your odds of drawing them. It does not guarantee them, so you may still need several resets to land a specific favorite.

Pick three characters from different groups and generations so your wishlist works together with synergy rules. That way, even a partial success gives you Oshis that buff each other rather than three isolated picks.

Why synergy decides who you should reroll for

Synergy is the deciding factor when choosing reroll targets. Passive skills stack when your Oshis share the same color or come from the same generation as your main character. Matching either of those triggers buffs across your team.

The three colors are Happy, Cute, and Pure. If several of your pulled Oshis carry the same color as your lead, or belong to the same generation, their passives feed into one another. Build your reroll goal around one main character, then chase two or three more that align by color or generation.

Note: Aim for up to three 5-star Oshis that synergize with your main. That combination gives the strongest early passive buffs and makes leveling and task completion smoother.

When to stop rerolling

Rerolling is not required to enjoy the game, but the small time cost pays off. Each cycle runs about five minutes, and the reward is a stack of 5-star Oshis that jump-start your account.

Claim your pre-registration red gems from the in-game mailbox before you pull, so you have the currency to reroll with.
Set your wishlist with up to three Oshis that share a color or generation with the main character you plan to build around.
Spin the Beginner Support and Holodori Gacha banners, then reset if the results don’t include the 5-star Oshis you want.
Lock in your account once you have a synergized set. Finish the whole process before you reach Level 3, because that is your window to reroll cleanly.

You’ll know it worked when you have one or more 5-star Oshis that match your main character’s color or generation, ready to slot into a team for passive buffs. From there, keep progressing to unlock the rest of the roster through Holomem Quests, which hand out characters without spending gacha currency.
