Homer Nightmares Chapter 2 Walkthrough: Escape to the Nuclear Plant

Every step to clear the ruined Simpson house, survive the chase, and break into Springfield Nuclear in Chapter 2.

Every step to clear the ruined Simpson house, survive the chase, and break into Springfield Nuclear in Chapter 2.

Chapter 2 of the Roblox horror game Homer Nightmares picks up the night after the basement explosion. You wake in the wrecked Simpson house, deal with the police, find that Bart has been taken, and end the chapter by slipping into the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. The path is linear, but two moments can stall you: clearing the basement debris and surviving a timed chase before help arrives.

Quick answer: Grab the flashlight from Homer’s room and the crowbar downstairs, clear all 6 pieces of debris to reach the basement, call emergency services from the garage phone, survive the 120-second chase, then follow Lisa to the tear in the fence west of the gatehouse lamps to finish Chapter 2.

Talk to Bart and Officer Wiggum first

You start in the bedroom. Speak to Bart, who mentions the cop car out front, then use E on the door to leave the room. Head downstairs through the damaged hallway and past the police tape, then go out the front door.

Outside, you see Marge and Lisa on the ambulance being taken to Springfield General Hospital. Talk to Bart and then to Officer Wiggum near the ambulance.
When Wiggum asks about Mr. Simpson, a dialogue choice appears. Picking option [3] (Say nothing) matches the intended path. The other options describe the cage and the axe, but the conversation moves on either way, and Wiggum tells you to get some sleep.

Go back inside and talk to Bart. He wants to check the basement for a body and tells you there is a flashlight in his dad’s room because the power is out.

Get the flashlight, crowbar, and clear the basement debris

Head upstairs into Homer’s room and take the flashlight with E. Return downstairs and pick up the crowbar you find there.

Move to the basement stairs, which are blocked. Use the crowbar prompt (E Clear) to remove the rubble. The counter reads Debris cleared 0/6, so keep clearing until all six pieces are gone.
Enter the basement and talk to Bart. There is no body where Homer was standing when the dynamite went off. Search the wall, and you will find a hand-dug hole punched straight through the brick. The rough edges show it was carved out by hand over what Bart guesses was months, meaning Homer prepared this escape route long before the explosion.

Call for help and survive the 120-second chase

Once the tunnel is discovered, Homer is active in the house. This is the most dangerous stretch of the chapter, and the goal is to reach a phone and then stay alive until the police arrive.

Run back upstairs and out to find a phone while avoiding Homer. The working phone is in the garage.

Use the phone to call emergency services. You report a man in the house with a knife, and the dispatcher says one officer is roughly two minutes away.
Homer interrupts the call, so head outside and keep moving. You must evade him for 120 seconds until the police arrive. Keep distance, use the yard and house corners to break line of sight, and do not get cornered.

Tip: The timer is fixed, so there is nothing to collect during the chase. Focus entirely on movement and spacing until the sequence ends on its own.

Bart is gone: the badge in the backyard

After the chase, go back inside, and you will find Bart missing. Homer carried him out the back door about two minutes earlier. Talk to Wiggum outside, and the case is logged as case 4-1-7 CLOSED with a follow-up note dismissing the basement hole. Wiggum treats Bart as a minor who is simply with his parent.

A transition reading “Hours later…” moves you to the backyard the next morning. Inspect the grave in the yard to dig up Homer’s nuclear plant work badge. The badge details point directly to where Bart was taken.

Talk to Lisa in the yard. She confirms Bart is at the plant and explains that Homer has not clocked in since March, yet the badge still opens the gate. Homer left the car behind and went on foot, so you and Lisa head to the plant together.

Enter Springfield Nuclear through the fence

The plant is four miles out and running on emergency power. Sector 7-G is the low building past the cooling towers, and the gatehouse has a light on, meaning a guard stayed.

Arrive at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant with Lisa and speak to the guard at the gatehouse. He refuses entry, saying the gate is shut and no one is coming in on emergency power.

Do not try to force the gate. Lisa points out that Homer never used it. There is a tear in the fence west of the lamps, on the only stretch the lights do not reach, which is where Homer cut through when he ran late.
Follow the fence line to that gap and slip through. Once you are inside, Lisa notes that the gate keeps a log while the fence does not. The “Chapter 2” card appears, confirming you have completed the chapter.

You know Chapter 2 is finished when the on-screen “We’re in” line plays at the fence and the HOMER NIGHTMARES — Chapter 2 title card displays. From there the story continues inside the plant, where Homer has taken Bart.
