Fallen Star’s Cradle is one of the two fresh Planarcadia maps in Honkai Star Rail 4.4, and like the rest of the region it hides Shiftmation puzzles behind glowing rabbit portals. Each one drops you into a flat 2D stage where you rotate the whole world with Q or E, collect scattered paint, and restore color to the imagenae so a golden bunny lights up. There are three to clear here, and finishing all of them nets you a stack of Stellar Jade.
Quick answer: The three Shiftmation puzzles sit at the Memory of the Past, The Buried Yesterdays, and The Sea Where The Tower of Infinity Slumbers Space Anchors. Rotate mostly with Q, reclaim every paint, then touch the bunny. Each stage pays out a Color Restoration Gift worth 20 Stellar Jade.

How Shiftmation puzzles work in Fallen Star’s Cradle
Every Shiftmation stage runs on the same rules. You control a small exploration spirit inside a frozen, colorless scene, and pressing Q or E spins your point of view, which changes where gravity pulls and which platforms you can stand on. Standing on the right edge before you rotate matters, because the rotation swings you toward the next platform. Levers spawn temporary platforms, detonate buttons blow up blocks, and windmills act as landmarks you jump past.
Your job is to reach every yellow paint spot, use the Reclaim Paint prompt, and then walk into the bunny once all the paint is gone. When you finish, the scene turns colorful and a Color Restoration Gift chest appears. That chest is how you confirm the puzzle is done.

Add to Google Preferences →Puzzle 1 location and solution (Memory of the Past)
Teleport to the Memory of the Past Space Anchor and walk straight through the door. The rabbit portal waits at the end of the corridor. This is the longest of the three, with a lot of edge-standing and Q rotations, so take the jumps one at a time and let each rotation animation finish before moving.
Puzzle 2 location and solution (The Buried Yesterdays)
Warp to The Buried Yesterdays Space Anchor and head straight for a short distance until you reach the mansion. Turn right and you will find the portal near the garden wall. This one is quick and needs no world rotation at all.

Puzzle 3 location and solution (The Sea Where The Tower of Infinity Slumbers)
Teleport to The Sea Where The Tower of Infinity Slumbers Space Anchor and head right toward the cliff edge. The final portal sits at the southern corner of the map. It mixes a few Q rotations with a couple of straightforward paint grabs.
Confirming completion and common mistakes
You know a Shiftmation is done when the frozen scene fills with color and a Color Restoration Gift chest pops up for you to open. If the bunny does not respond, you have missed a paint spot somewhere in the level, since the imagenae only restores once every paint is reclaimed. Wait for each rotation to finish before you jump, because moving mid-animation is the fastest way to misjudge a landing and fall.
Clearing all three here gives you 60 Stellar Jade in total, and it also feeds into the wider Floating Grease Origin Retrace progress across Planarcadia. Once these are done, the other 4.4 Shiftmation set over in Desolate Maw’s Demonhold is the only remaining batch for the version.
