Bahamut Versa Advent is the Lvl 300 endgame fight added with the Endless Ragnarok update in Granblue Fantasy: Relink. The quest objective is straightforward, “Terminate Bahamut Versa Advent,” but the timer is not. You get a 60-minute window and a boss that shifts between long-range barrages, arena-wide lightning, and a late-fight nuke that can end a run outright.
Quick answer: Chain your party’s Skybound Arts into a Full Burst, then a Chain Burst such as Ascension or Tide of Chaos, to force the boss into Break. Unload on its weak points during that window while dodging Alter Ego: Insanis and Omega Blitz, and survive to the end without eating Cosmic Cycle: Destruction.

Bahamut Versa Advent fight basics
The encounter opens with a cutscene of a dark dragon wreathed in purple energy wings, followed by the “QUEST START” prompt. The boss starts at a full HP bar and moves through Overdrive states that lead into its biggest charged attacks. Because the clock is unforgiving, the fight rewards a party that can build gauge quickly and land clean Break windows rather than trading hits.

Each big attack is telegraphed, so survival is mostly about reading the wind-up and repositioning. The boss will fly into the air to drop AoE circles, then land to sweep and slam with its claws. Learn the three signature moves and the rest of the fight becomes a matter of staying mobile.
| Attack | When it happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Alter Ego: Insanis | During Overdrive | Summons multiple pillars of purple lightning across the arena. Keep running through the gaps until the field clears. |
| Omega Blitz | When the boss flies away | Fires tracking purple energy orbs and lasers. Stay moving so the homing projectiles miss. |
| Catastrophe → Cosmic Cycle: Destruction | Late in the fight | Winds up Catastrophe, then unleashes a massive white flash covering the whole screen. Treat this as the run-ending attack and avoid feeding it. |
Note: Overdrive appears under the health bar and signals that a charged attack, usually Alter Ego: Insanis, is coming. Space yourself before the pillars land rather than reacting after they spawn.

How to Break Bahamut Versa Advent
Break is where the real damage happens. Coordinated Skybound Arts (SBA) are the tool that gets you there, so the party should hold and release them together instead of firing one at a time.
You know it worked when the “FULL BURST” or “PRIMAL BURST” banner fires, a large TOTAL DAMAGE figure appears, and the boss visibly enters BREAK. Coordinated chains in this fight have produced single-burst totals ranging from roughly 45 million to over 95 million.

Siegfried build for the fight
Siegfried is a strong pick for this encounter because his charged attacks hit hard and his kit leans into damage cap. The key is keeping his max HP under 200,000 so his weapon trait stays active, then stacking cap and survivability around it.
Weapon and traits
His transcended Terminus weapon, Balmung, is the endgame choice. The upgraded Catastrophe Nova trait grants ATK and DMG Cap while your max HP stays under 200,000, and the EX trait Unbound Master adds more DMG Cap on top. Drain is the recommended second trait for extra survivability, paired with a Sequestration Wrightstone for Weak Point DMG plus Supplementary DMG and Quick Cooldown substats.
Sigils and summons
The sigil plan leans on Basic, Attack, and Defense stat-type sigils to feed Siegfried’s Master Traits for DMG Cap, ATK, and DEF. Newer Endless Ragnarok traits like Fatebreaker, Celestial Lumen, and Celestial Terra add further DMG Cap. Cascade, Quick Cooldown, and Uplift keep skill and SBA uptime high, while Steel Nerves pairs with the Stout Heart trait for more DEF. Keep Greater Aegis for HP, but do not let your max HP cross 200,000, or Catastrophe Nova switches off.
| Slot | Recommended |
|---|---|
| Weapon | Balmung (Transcended to Level 7) |
| Primary summon | Lucilius |
| Support summons | Beelzebub, Lilith, Behemoth III |
| Key summon traits | War Elemental, Stout Heart, Berserker Echo, Spartan Echo |
| Equip bonus | Normal Attack Damage Cap Up (stack for charged attacks) |

Lucilius is the top primary summon for raw output, with Beelzebub, Lilith, and Behemoth III filling in the important traits. Berserker Echo and Spartan Echo add Supplementary DMG, War Elemental gives a permanent damage boost, and Improved Dodge helps you weave combos safely between the boss’s barrages.
Put all of it together, and the fight settles into a rhythm. Chip at grounded openings, dodge Insanis pillars and Omega Blitz orbs, and time your SBA chains for a Break every time the boss comes down. Do that consistently and you close out the Advent before Cosmic Cycle: Destruction ever gets the chance to fire.
