How to Fuse the Nebula Hen x Cycle of Ash in Grow a Chicken Fighter

The full farming route for both parent chickens, plus the one setting that guarantees the skill transfers.

The full farming route for both parent chickens, plus the one setting that guarantees the skill transfers.

The Nebula Hen already sits near the top of the meta in Grow a Chicken Fighter, but its early-game special holds it back. Swapping in the Cycle of Ash skill from the Radiant Fenghuang fixes that, turning a Cosmic fighter into one of the strongest late-game builds you can run. The catch is that both parent chickens sit behind brutal hatch odds, so the real work is farming their eggs before you ever touch the Fusion menu.

Quick answer: Hatch a Nebula Hen from Void Eggs and a Radiant Fenghuang from Royal Eggs, then fuse them in the Fusion menu with the Cycle of Ash skill locked on the Radiant Fenghuang before you confirm.

What the fusion requires

You need two specific chickens in your flock at the same time. The Nebula Hen supplies the body and stats, while the Radiant Fenghuang carries the Cycle of Ash special that you want to keep.

ChickenHatches fromHatch chance
Nebula HenVoid Egg (Blazing Egg alternative)1% (2% from Blazing)
Radiant FenghuangRoyal Egg (Blazing Egg alternative)1% (2% from Blazing)

Both birds can also hatch from the Blazing Egg at double the odds, but Blazing Eggs only appear during the Hot Event and are far harder to farm in bulk. For steady progress, the Void Egg and Royal Egg routes below are more reliable.

Farm Void Eggs to hatch the Nebula Hen

The Nebula Hen only comes from Void Eggs, so your goal is a chicken that lays Void Eggs at a high rate. The chain below gets you there through the Scratch Egg starter branch.

ChickenEgg it laysDrop rate
Sergeant HenThunder Egg100%
Astro ChickVoid Egg70%
Hatch Scratch Eggs until you get a Sergeant Hen, which appears roughly 8% of the time. Scratch Eggs are a beginner egg, so a copy usually shows up quickly.
Place the Sergeant Hen to farm Thunder Eggs. It drops them 100% of the time, giving you a fast, dependable Thunder Egg supply.

Hatch Thunder Eggs and aim for the Astro Chick, which has an 11% hatch chance. This is your key Void Egg producer.
Run the Astro Chick to farm Void Eggs, which it lays 70% of the time. Fuse and upgrade it to raise lay speed so you build a larger stockpile.
Keep hatching Void Eggs until the Nebula Hen appears at its 1% rate. Once it hatches, set it aside and move on to the Radiant Fenghuang.

Farm Royal Eggs to hatch the Radiant Fenghuang

The Radiant Fenghuang is the whole reason for this fusion, since it carries the Cycle of Ash skill. It hatches from Royal Eggs at 1%, so you want the most efficient Royal Egg layer you can build.

Hatch Scratch Eggs until you land a Crest Rooster. It is an early Royal Egg source and gets you off the starter branch.
Use the Crest Rooster to farm Royal Eggs at its 60% drop rate. Keep laying until you have a solid batch to hatch.

Hatch Royal Eggs until you get the Rooster of Fortune, which has about a 3% chance from a Royal Egg. It becomes your primary farmer.
Place the Rooster of Fortune to lay Royal Eggs at a 100% drop rate. Fuse two copies to increase lay speed and shorten the grind.
Keep hatching Royal Eggs until the Radiant Fenghuang drops at its 1% chance. Expect this to take a while, since it is the rarest step in the chain.

Complete the fusion and lock Cycle of Ash

With the Nebula Hen and the Radiant Fenghuang both in your flock, open the Fusion menu and add the two chickens. The order of the pairing matters less than the skill setting you apply before confirming.

Select the Nebula Hen and the Radiant Fenghuang as the fusion pair.
Lock the Cycle of Ash skill on the Radiant Fenghuang. This is the most important action in the whole process, since locking the skill forces it to carry over instead of being randomly replaced.
Confirm the fusion. The result is a Nebula Hen that keeps the Cycle of Ash special.

Note: If Cycle of Ash does not appear on the fused chicken, the skill was not locked before you confirmed. There is no way to add it afterward, so you would need another Radiant Fenghuang to try again. Always verify the lock icon on Cycle of Ash before pressing confirm.

You will know it worked when the new Nebula Hen shows Cycle of Ash as its special in the chicken details. At that point the build is finished and ready for Tower runs, boss fights, and PvP.
