Blue Essence is a Rare Ancient Relic tied entirely to Operation: Egg Heist in Aniimo. It drops from the Aniimo that guard the Lost Sanctum, and you spend it to unlock and rank up Egg Heist Talents. You can also pick it up in the open world and trade for it in the Hot shop.

Quick answer: Defeat the Aniimo guarding the Lost Sanctum during Operation: Egg Heist to get Blue Essence, or buy it in the Hot shop for 1 Purple Essence, which gives 2.

How to get Blue Essence in Operation: Egg Heist

Blue Essence forms when an Aniimo defending the Lost Sanctum falls and its fading power reacts with Vein energy. That means the drops are locked to the sanctum runs inside Operation: Egg Heist. The mode supports 1 to 3 players and throws enemies at level 45 to 50 at you, so bring a capable team.

Start Operation: Egg Heist. You spawn on the shore among the island’s ruins, where the goal is to reach the Lost Sanctum, collect loot, and leave by boat.
Move through the ruins and enter the glowing blue portal that leads into the Lost Sanctum.
Clear the sanctum corridors and side chambers. The guarding Aniimo you defeat here have a chance to drop Blue Essence, usually one at a time, alongside crafting materials and the occasional Purple Essence. Loot the chests and urns along the halls as you go.
Head to the exit portal, return to Ancient Harbor, and board the Egg Boat to evacuate. Only loot you leave with is kept.

If your entire team goes down before you escape, you lose all backpack contents and equipped gear. Reach the boat to bank your Blue Essence.

You know the run worked when the Adventure Successful screen appears and the collected Blue Essence shows up in your inventory after you evacuate.

Buy Blue Essence from the Hot shop

If you have spare Purple Essence, you can convert it directly. The Hot shop sells Blue Essence for 1 Purple Essence, and each purchase hands you 2 Blue Essence. This is the fastest way to top up when you are short for a Talent unlock and already have Purple Essence banked from deeper sanctum fights.

What Blue Essence is used for

Blue Essence pays for Egg Heist Talents, the progression tree for the mode. Ranking these up makes it easier to survive runs and secure rewards. In the Talents menu under Egg Heist, early nodes such as Quick Recovery I and Half-Price Goods I list their Blue Essence and Purple Essence unlock costs. Spending the essence applies the talent and deducts the cost shown.

Because both the drops and the talents live inside Operation: Egg Heist, the loop is self-contained. You farm essence from the sanctum, spend it on talents, and those talents make the next farming run smoother.
