Galaxy Sprites are the rarest companion tier yet, with boosted drop odds on Galaxy Day and a 20% ammo pickup buff.

Galaxy Sprites are the newest and rarest variant of Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3. Every standard Sprite except the Burnt Peanut has a Galaxy version, which adds up to ten cosmic-patterned companions you can chase down in matches. They drop through pure RNG, so finding one comes down to playing in the right places and stacking the odds in your favor.

Quick answer: There are no fixed spawn points. To get a Galaxy Sprite, play during Galaxy Day on June 18 for boosted drop rates, open as many Sprite Chests as possible, target the biome tied to the Sprite you want, then extract it with a Portable Extractor before anyone steals it.

What Galaxy Sprites do in Fortnite

Equipping a Galaxy Sprite gives you 20% more ammo whenever you pick up bullets in the world. This bonus stacks on top of the Sprite’s base ability, so it never replaces what the companion already does. A Galaxy King Sprite, for example, still boosts your pickaxe damage as it levels while also handing you the extra ammo on pickups.

Compared with the Gold variant’s eliminate-for-XP gains or the Gummy variant’s 10% Sprite Dust bonus on extraction, the ammo perk is more of a quality-of-life buff than a progression boost. The main appeal of the Galaxy tier right now is owning the rarest companions in the game.

All 10 Galaxy Sprites and their base rarity

Each Galaxy Sprite inherits the rarity of its base version, which means rarer companions like the Zero Point Sprite are far harder to roll in Galaxy form than the starter elements. Here is the full list.

Where to find each Galaxy Sprite

Galaxy Sprites don’t have fixed spawns, but each one tends to appear in the same biomes and containers as its base version. Targeting the right area narrows your search instead of leaving everything to chance.

How to boost your Galaxy Sprite odds

Because the drop rates are brutal, your best move is to maximize how many rolls you trigger per match and to land yourself in the right biome.

Play on Galaxy Day, which runs June 18 with a better chance of finding Galaxy Sprite variants. Boosted odds make this the most efficient window to hunt, so prioritize matches while the event is live.
Open Sprite Chests aggressively. They are the most consistent way to trigger these rare rolls, so plan a landing spot and loot route that hits as many chests as possible in a single drop.
Drop into the biome that matches the Galaxy Sprite you want. Head to water for the Water Sprite, forests for the Earth Sprite, or cities for the Fire Sprite, and wait for the night cycle if you’re after the Ghost Sprite.
Carry a Portable Extractor before you start hunting. The moment you find a Galaxy Sprite you become a target, and the extractor lets you send your loot straight to the lobby without fighting at a public Extraction Site.

How to keep a Galaxy Sprite permanently

Finding a Galaxy Sprite isn’t enough. You only unlock it for good once you extract it, which permanently adds it to your collection and lets you re-equip it in future matches. The three ways to extract are placing it in an Extraction Chest, using a Portable Extractor, or winning a Victory Royale.

You’ll know it worked when the Sprite shows as unlocked in the Sprites tab in your lobby and you receive Sprite Dust. Be careful before then, because being eliminated or leaving the match makes you lose any Sprite you’re carrying, and an equipped Sprite resets to Level 1.

If RNG refuses to cooperate, the community trades these cosmic variants through dedicated Discord servers, which is often the fastest way to fill out the set. Otherwise, expect Epic to tune the spawn chances in the weeks ahead, so the grind should get a little kinder over time.
