Blade Ball’s stage in The Hunt: Roblox 20 hides a second, harder reward behind the Serpent Breakout event. It is not awarded for deflecting the ball or for winning rounds. It runs on a short chain that starts with one specific sword and ends with a six-player boss fight against the World Serpent.

Quick answer: Equip Serpentbane, land the final hit on the Serpent Knight bot during a Classic round, spend the credit it drops at the lobby NPC, then defeat the three-phase World Serpent.

What you need before the Serpent Breakout quest starts

The secret badge sits on top of Blade Ball’s main anniversary quest, so the order matters. Finish the standard Blade Ball objective first, which is collecting 3 Tix from the event Knights during rounds. That quest is what puts Serpentbane in your inventory, and without the sword the rest of the chain cannot be triggered.

  • The Blade Ball entry inside The Hunt: Roblox 20 hub, reached through the event portal.
  • The main Blade Ball quest completed, which grants the unique sword Serpentbane.
  • Classic mode, since the Serpent Knight only appears in those rounds.
  • Ideally five other players for the boss queue, which holds up to six.

Load into Blade Ball from the hub and look for the Serpent Breakout boards in the lobby. Opening the event menu shows the active mission and tracks whether you have landed the required elimination yet.

How to get the battle credit from the Serpent Knight bot

The credit is the entry ticket to the boss. It only drops from the Serpent Knight, a special blue bot that spawns in Classic rounds and does not carry a normal player username. One appears per round at most, so expect to play a few matches.

Open the Skills and Skins menu, go to the Swords tab, and equip Serpentbane. Do this before the round begins, because the sword has to be active when the elimination happens.

Vote for Classic when the gamemode poll appears. Other modes such as 2 Teams or Randomizer will not spawn the target, so a lobby that votes elsewhere is a round you can sit out.
Find the Serpent Knight in the arena and take it out yourself. You must land the final hit. If another player finishes it, the kill registers for them and your progress stays where it was.
Pick up the credit the bot drops after the elimination. It appears on the spot where the Knight went down, and it goes straight into your event inventory.

Survival-leaning abilities help here. You cannot get the final hit if you are eliminated before the Knight shows up.

Joining the Serpent Battle from the lobby NPC

Head back to the lobby and speak to the Serpent Breakout NPC. Opening the menu now shows a Join Serpent Battle option, and entering costs 1 credit.

Queuing puts you into a countdown lobby that fills up to six players. The fight is built for a full group, and going in solo or with two or three people usually ends before the final stage. Wait out the timer and let the slots fill if you can.

The World Serpent boss fight and its three phases

A cutscene drops the World Serpent into the arena, and the UI switches to a boss health bar plus a parry counter. Parrying is what keeps you eligible, and the game confirms it with an on-screen line reading “You’re eligible for the badge. Now defeat the Serpent.”

PhaseWhat to expect
Phase 1Manageable opener, steady attack pattern
Phase 2More aggressive, faster pressure
Phase 3Hardest stage, where most runs end

Phase three is the wall. Plenty of groups clear the first two stages on a first attempt and then lose the run in the last one, which is why a full six-player lobby matters more than raw skill with any particular ability. Losing the fight does not consume anything beyond the credit you spent, so you can farm another Serpent Knight and queue again.

Confirming the badge and claiming the secret item

Killing the World Serpent awards the secret badge immediately, and you will see the standard Roblox badge notification on screen. That notification is the confirmation to look for. If the boss survives, nothing is granted, regardless of how many parries you landed.

The badge also unlocks the secret item, which sits in the main Hunt hub rather than inside Blade Ball. Leave the experience, follow the event route across the coloured platforms, climb the broken pillar up the mountain cliff, and interact with the metallic pedestal at the top. The pedestal stays locked for anyone who has not earned the badge.

The full chain runs Serpentbane, Classic mode, Serpent Knight, 1 credit, lobby NPC, Serpent Battle, three phases, secret badge, secret item. Skipping the sword or the personal elimination stops it at the first link.

The Hunt: Roblox 20 closes on September 28, 2026, and badges are once per game per account, so there is no reason to repeat the fight after it registers. If you still need the main Blade Ball badge, clear that first and bank both in the same visit rather than making a second trip through the portal.
