How to Get the Lumber Tycoon 2 Badge and Secret Badge in The Hunt: Roblox 20

Lumber Tycoon 2 is the 2015 stop on The Hunt: Roblox 20, and its main task is one of the simplest in the whole event. A woodcutter named Geck stands outside the main shop asking for lumber, and your job is to keep feeding his bin until the meter fills. There is also a separate secret badge item hidden behind a locked door, and reaching it takes an exact order of actions.

Quick answer: Buy a Basic Hatchet from Thom in Lumber Tycoon 2 for $12, chop trees, and fill Geck’s bin to earn the You Helped Geck badge, then claim the Leather Adventure Backpack back at the hub.

Start the 2015 challenge and find Geck

Before you can touch the wood quest, you have to clear the short hub step. Inside the 2015 Challenge Hub, talk to the Berezaa NPC next to the conveyor belt. He asks for fresh ore, and once you click the glowing green button, your character is sent through the machine. This step is required to unlock both the badge and the reward.

Buy the Basic Hatchet in Wood R Us

Trees cannot be harvested with bare hands, so punching a trunk does nothing. This is where most first-time players get stuck. Walk into Wood R Us, grab the Basic Hatchet box off the shelf, place it on the counter, and buy it from Thom for $12. Then press E to open the box and again to pick up the hatchet.

The pricier axes are optional and out of reach at spawn. Only the Basic Hatchet fits your starting cash.

Better axes only increase chopping speed. If you try to buy one without enough cash, the sale is rejected with a message calling you a punk. Ignore the Land Store and the wire on the shelf, since neither plays any part in the quest.

Fill Geck’s wood bin

Beside Geck sits a large open bin with a gauge on the front. The arrow starts on the left and climbs to the right as you deposit wood. That gauge is the only progress tracker, so treat it as the source of truth rather than counting logs.

Equip the hatchet and find a tree close to Wood R Us. Distance matters more than tree quality on a first run, because you have to drag everything back by hand.

Swing at the trunk until the tree falls and the “Timber!” message appears. A Basic Hatchet is slow, so expect a long series of swings on the first cut.

Drag the felled tree over to Geck’s bin. Moving the whole trunk first and cutting it beside the bin saves you from carrying pieces one at a time.

Chop the trunk and branches into smaller sections and drop them inside the bin. The interior glows green and the meter climbs with each piece.

Repeat with a second tree if Geck still wants more. One tree usually is not enough, and most runs take about two to three trees before the gauge is full.

Dropping logs on the ground near Geck does not count. Wood has to go inside the bin for the meter to move.

Players with an existing save file can cut the whole thing to about a minute. Load your slot, drive a truck out to the treeline, and haul a full load back in one trip. Higher-value wood species fill the meter faster, and running logs through a sawmill into planks speeds it up further. Keep loads manageable, though, since an oversized haul that spills pieces along the road costs more time than two clean trips.

Confirm the badge and claim the Leather Adventure Backpack

Once the meter is full, a prompt appears: “The Lumber Tycoon 2 quest is complete! Go to the hub to collect your prize, then keep traveling through time.” You also receive the You helped Geck badge, and a purple Strange Bag drops on the ground beside Geck.

If you delivered a load and nothing changed, the bar simply has not filled yet. A first hand-in does not end the quest, so cut more wood and check the gauge again before switching servers.

Earning the badge does not add the reward to your inventory automatically. Return through the portal to the 2015 Challenge Hub, where the Leather Adventure Backpack UGC sits near the portal. Interact with it to claim the item; the same claim marks the year complete and lets you continue to the next era.

How to get the secret badge item

Beyond Geck’s task, there is a hidden secret badge item locked behind a secret door in the snow biome. Opening it needs an exact four-step sequence, and doing the steps out of order keeps the door shut. A truck makes the route much faster, since you cover the shop, the snow biome, and the hidden crevice in one loop.

Find an oak tree, chop it down, and keep a piece of oak wood. Trim the branches and load the oak log so you can carry it back toward the shop.

Carry the oak wood to the Hunt 20 NPC and place it entirely inside the trash bin directly beside that NPC. Confirm the wood registered inside the bin before you move on.

Travel to the snow biome, fell a snow tree, and pick up a piece of snow wood. Load it up the same way you handled the oak log.

Bring the snow wood to the hidden spot in the snow biome, a narrow cliff crevice blocked by boulders, and place the log into that gap. This triggers the secret door and opens a passage between the stone walls into an open snowy canyon.

Pass through the newly opened door to enter the hidden chamber and claim the secret badge item inside. If the door does not open, the usual cause is the oak wood not registering in the trash bin before you fetched the snow wood, so re-check that first hand-off and run the order again.

The event has been live since mid-September 2026, and no end date is currently confirmed. Lumber Tycoon 2 also picked up a large permanent update alongside it, so the map may look different if you are returning after a long break. That does not change either task. For the badge, it stays as simple as it looks: chop, haul, deposit, repeat. For the secret item, the order is everything.
