How to Group Up in VV: ULTIMATUM (Factions, Clans, Portals)

VV: ULTIMATUM is a Bleach-inspired action RPG on Roblox built by Midnight Continent, and it does not work like a typical lobby game with a dedicated party screen. Instead of pressing an invite button, you play together by sharing a faction, joining a clan, and pulling allies to your location through a faction portal. Here is exactly how that grouping works and which inputs you need.

Quick answer: There is no separate party menu in VV: ULTIMATUM. Choose one of the three factions, join a clan, and press U to summon your faction portal so teammates can move into your area.

How teaming up works in VV: ULTIMATUM

Grouping in VV: ULTIMATUM is built around two systems rather than a single invite flow. Your faction decides which story, abilities, and allies you fight alongside, while clans add a separate membership layer on top of that choice.

You play as one of three main factions, each with its own questline and fighting style. The faction you pick sets your evolution path and who counts as an ally during faction wars, so it is the closest thing the game has to a team you belong to.

FactionBest for grouping
QuincyEasiest guided route with ranged comfort and a more linear path toward Schrift.
ShinigamiSafest classic route with Zanpakuto and Shikai progression.
HollowHigher complexity with trait timing, Mask Pop risk, and the Arrancar evolution route.

Controls you use to coordinate with allies

A handful of key binds matter most when you want to find, reach, and fight next to other players. The faction portal is the main tool for pulling allies into your space.

Note: The Sense Ability on C helps you locate nearby quest NPCs and interactables, which makes it easier to regroup with players running the same objective.

Join a faction so you have allies

When you load in, pick your Race/Faction. This is the first major decision in the game, and each option carries different perks and drawbacks, so choose with your long-term route in mind.
Follow the Helpful Spirit that greets you after loading. It explains the controls and your chosen Race, then points you toward your first objectives.
Defeat the NPCs from the two factions you did not pick, then follow the blue exclamation points to a large obelisk. Interacting with it opens the doors to your first boss, Gelum.
Press U to summon your faction portal once you want allies nearby. This is how you bring faction members into your area instead of relying on a party invite.

Clans add a second membership layer

Clans are a separate system from factions and come with reroll mechanics that decide your starting slot. The reroll is tempting early, but spending on it before you have a plan is one of the fastest ways to waste a fresh character.

Redeem free codes first, then decide whether your route is worth keeping before you reroll. The codes day1 and 30KLIKES can be entered once the Shop or code menu unlocks after the tutorial and faction setup. Avoid mass-rerolling clans at level 1 with no direction.

Find teammates to play with

Because there is no internal friend-party invite, the most reliable way to line up allies is to coordinate before you queue in. The official community hub is the best place to do that.

From there, agree on a shared faction and server, load into the same area, and use the faction portal to keep everyone together. If you and a friend pick different factions, you will be on opposing sides during faction conflict, so match factions if you want to fight as a unit.

Until a dedicated party feature appears, treating your faction as your team and your clan as your wider group is the practical way to play with others in VV: ULTIMATUM. Lock in a shared faction, redeem your codes before rerolling, and lean on the U portal and C sense to stay close to your allies.
