The taskbar is an important element of the operating system which allows a user to launch programs through the Start menu and also see the programs currently running on the system. It also has a notification area on the corner.
The taskbar is by default located on the bottom of the screen. Many users are not comfortable with the taskbar at the bottom and want to move it to other parts of the screen. Windows 10 offers the option to move it across the screen to various positions.
Moving the Taskbar
Right-click on the empty space of the taskbar and click on ‘Taskbar Setting’ from the menu.
In the Taskbar settings window, locate ‘Taskbar location on screen’ option and click on the dropdown menu below it.
From the drop-down menu, select the new position of the taskbar.
The taskbar will automatically move to the new position. Try all positions and see what fits your workflow or use case the best.
