iOS 16 brought a slew of lock screen and home screen customizations; one of which is the Home Screen wallpaper blur. The feature allows you to blur the wallpaper you have set on your Home Screen to increase the visibility of Apps icons and text.
Though not everyone is a fan of the feature as the intensity of the blur is too high which completely hides the details of the wallpaper, and at the time of writing this article, Apple does not let you play around with the intensity of it, you can either turn it on or off.
Fortunately, turning off the wallpaper blur on the Home Screen is a very simple and plain sailing process.
First, open the ‘Settings’ app on your iPhone either from the Home Screen or from the App Library.

Next, tap on the ‘Wallpaper’ option to proceed.

Now, tap on the ‘Customise’ button present under the Home Screen icon to view the new various customization options.

At last, tap on the ‘Blur’ option in the bottom right corner to toggle off background blur on the Home Screen of your iPhone. When toggled off, you will be able to clearly see the wallpaper on the preview screen.

To confirm and save your changes, tap on the ‘Done’ button at the top-right corner of the screen.

And that’s it, you have successfully turned off the home screen background blur on your device.
Alternatively, you can also customize the home screen of your device right from the Lock Screen by bringing up the Lock Screen selector.
To do so, tap and hold anywhere on the Lock Screen to bring up the Lock Screen selector screen. Then, tap on the ‘Customize’ option.

Next, tap on the Home Screen visual on the right to view the Home Screen wallpaper customization options.

Then, tap on the ‘Blur’ option at the bottom right corner to toggle it Off. You should see the updated preview of the clear wallpaper after toggling off blur.

Finally, tap on the ‘Done’ button to save the changes you made.
