Teleporting in Saros is the game's fast-travel system, letting Arjun Devraj skip to the start of any biome already cleared through normal play. It is gated behind story progress, runs through a hub character called Primary, and uses an interface called the World Dial to pick a destination.

Unlock requirements
Teleportation is not available from the start of a run. Two story conditions must line up before the system becomes usable, and both are tied to forward progression rather than exploration or side activities.
| Requirement | What it does |
|---|---|
| Defeat the Prophet | Clears the early story gate that opens deeper biomes. |
| Reach Ancient Depths via the nearby portal | Activates the teleport technology itself; the standard door does not work here. |
The Ancient Depths entry is the easy part to miss. The biome cannot be entered through its main door on first arrival; the adjacent portal is what flips teleportation on for the rest of the playthrough.
How the active teleport zone looks
Active teleport points are marked by a glowing orange platform underfoot, with a molten, lava-like texture. If the platform is lit and you are standing on it, the interaction is live. If you do not see the glow, you are not in the right spot.

Triggering the teleport
Step 1: Stand on the glowing orange platform so the prompt is active. The character should be centered on the disc, not at its edge.
Step 2: Hold Triangle on the DualSense controller. This kicks off the teleport sequence and sends Devraj back to the Passage, the game's home base.
Step 3: In the Passage, walk up to Primary, the Soltari bot that handles decisions on Soltari's behalf on Carcosa. Press Triangle to open the interaction.
Step 4: Select your destination from the World Dial. This is the tool inside Primary's interface that handles biome selection and confirms the jump.
You will know it worked when the run resumes at the start of your chosen biome instead of dropping you back at the crash site or forcing a manual route.

What the World Dial can and cannot do
The World Dial is deliberately limited. It is a hub-based system, not free-form fast travel, and it only references progress you have actually earned in the campaign.
| Behavior | Detail |
|---|---|
| Destinations | Start of each biome you have already reached through the story. |
| Skipping ahead | Not allowed. Locked biomes do not appear as options. |
| Drop-anywhere travel | Not supported. There are no scattered warp points across the map. |
| Hub | Primary in the Passage is the single point of access. |
Because the dial chooses where a run resumes, it doubles as a way to start fresh attempts deeper in the game without grinding through earlier biomes first. That structure also pairs with the Passage's other functions, where Primary handles permanent attribute upgrades, perks, and difficulty adjustments between runs.
Common reasons it does not trigger
If the teleport prompt refuses to appear or nothing happens on Triangle, the cause is usually one of a small set of conditions.
- The Prophet fight has not been completed yet.
- You have not used the Ancient Depths portal that activates the teleport tech.
- You are standing next to the glowing platform rather than on it.
- You tapped Triangle instead of holding it.
- The biome you want is not yet unlocked through the campaign.
Once the system is live, it stays available for the rest of the playthrough, so subsequent jumps only need the platform-and-hold input or a visit to Primary in the Passage.
