The members-only finale requires Secrets of Amberfell plus set Crafting, Herblore, Mining, and Smithing levels to enter its new regions.

The members-only finale requires Secrets of Amberfell plus set Crafting, Herblore, Mining, and Smithing levels to enter its new regions.

Havenhythe Part II is the second half of RuneScape’s largest area expansion, opening the eastern reaches of the island beyond Amberfell. It closes out the current Havenhythe storyline with a climactic push against the spreading Sanguine threat, and it adds new regions, fresh skilling methods across Mining, Woodcutting, Divination and Slayer, and a set of high-tier rewards. The content is members-only and went live on 28 September 2026, following Part I on 23 March.

Quick answer: While your membership is active, finish Secrets of Amberfell and reach these skill levels: 51 Crafting, 55 Herblore, 65 Mining, and 60 Smithing. Then start Heralds of Crimson in Amberfell to open the island’s other areas.

Requirements to enter Havenhythe Part II

Access is gated behind membership, one prerequisite quest, and four skill thresholds. Meet the following before you begin the finale.

RequirementCondition
AccountActive membership
QuestSecrets of Amberfell completed
CraftingLevel 51
HerbloreLevel 55
MiningLevel 65
SmithingLevel 60

The story quest that unlocks the region is Heralds of Crimson, started by speaking to Sorrel in Amberfell. The quest itself sets a slightly higher bar in two skills, asking for 61 Crafting and 58 Herblore, so aim for those figures if you plan to complete the storyline in one run. It is voice-acted, rated Experienced, and expects you to defeat multiple level 78 sanguine werewolves and two high-level vampyres, with a combat level of 110 or higher recommended.

The new mining activity has its own gate of 65 Mining and 51 Crafting. You know access has opened once Heralds of Crimson is complete, which grants entry to the rest of Havenhythe and to the upcoming Ghrazi Blood Knights boss fight.

The four new regions

Venturing past the Amberfell bridge opens four distinct areas, each with its own activities and secrets. The mist-covered Boglands of Fenmoor sit at the heart of the new content, and the Moonsylvar Wood introduces a scent-tracking maze you navigate during the quest.

New skilling methods

Mining in the Exalted Quarry

In the Wild Essence Quarry, mine rune essence from an ancient Colossus’s remains. Deposits grow in size up to level 100, and you can process the material into regular rune essence or Exalted Essence. Exalted Essence supports a slower, higher-reward approach to Runecrafting, while the quarry adds another source of regular rune essence.

Bog-Brained Woodcutting

In this community activity, work with the Bogolins to gather petrified Colossi trees and make totems. The trees have three tiers: roots require level 65, bark level 85, and full logs level 105. Since porter signs and wood boxes cannot bank petrified logs, burn them in nearby braziers or fletch them into totems to earn reward bundles.

Fenmoor also holds Chima moss at level 62 Woodcutting, which spins into stackable Chima bowstrings, plus Fen Ivy at level 103 for higher-level cutting.

Colossal Energy Divination

Once you reach level 77 Divination, draw residual divine energy from fallen Colossi and transport it across the island to ancient murals. This hands-on activity also grants Agility experience. Make enough trips and you may obtain a Stone vein amulet, which teleports you to the murals.

Slayer targets and combat rewards

The Sanguine corruption introduces new Slayer creatures for fresh progression: Strigoi, Sanguine Bogolins and Sanguine Werewolves. Killing these enemies drops Crimson ichor, which combines with Remnant energy to craft three ability codexes at level 65 Divination: Vampyric slayer, Sanguine offering and Vital drain.

Standout rewards

New tools and currencies support local upgrades, while the standout reward is an ultra-rare hatchet that is best in slot.

Ghrazi Blood Knights boss on October 12

The next combat milestone is the Ghrazi Blood Knights, a duo-only endgame encounter against Lord Kandy Ghrazi and Lady Kamina Ghrazi, both level 135. It arrives on 12 October, with a solo version following in November.

You must finish Heralds of Crimson before 12 October to be ready to challenge the Blood Knights when the fight goes live.

Havenhythe is designed as a recurring destination rather than a single chapter, and the region will expand again in 2027 with access to the world of Vampyrium. For now, clearing Heralds of Crimson brings the current storyline to its close and opens every activity across the eastern half of the island. Full patch details are posted on the RuneScape website.
