The garage in Forza Horizon 6 does not get physically bigger. The floor area is fixed, and no purchase or property pushes the walls outward. What you can change is how many cars you display at once, and the maximum climbs from 3 slots up to 6 once you own the right houses and place the display locators yourself.

How garage display slots work in Forza Horizon 6
Slots do not appear on their own. Even the slots you are entitled to stay hidden until you manually drop Car Display Locators inside the garage using the customization tools. Place a locator, and that display position becomes active for a car.
Two things separate "how many slots you can have" from "how many you actually see." House perks raise your ceiling, while locators turn that ceiling into working display spots. The default ceiling is 3, available the moment you unlock any house, and two specific properties add one slot each on top of that.
Garage slot expansion: default vs. Hakusan Mountain Lodge vs. Vision House
| Setup | Display slots | House cost | Required stamp |
|---|---|---|---|
| Default (any house owned) | 3 | — | None |
| + Hakusan Mountain Lodge | 4 | 635,000 CR | Pink Stamp (5,000 Discovery points) |
| + Vision House | 5 | 1,500,000 CR | Gold Stamp (20,000 Discovery points) |
| Both houses | 6 | — | — |
Both qualifying houses carry the "Additional Garage Slot" perk, which is added to your account permanently once you buy them. The Hakusan Mountain Lodge is the smarter first purchase because it also grants a permanent 10% credit bonus on your earnings, which pays for itself over time regardless of how you arrange your display.
Step 1: Earn the Pink and Gold stamps through Discovery Japan
Step 1: Drive to Discovery Japan collection points across the map and explore the area to bank Discovery points. You do not need wristbands for this; only the point totals matter.
Step 2: Reach 5,000 Discovery points to earn the Pink Stamp, which unlocks the Hakusan Mountain Lodge. Push on to 20,000 Discovery points for the Gold Stamp, which unlocks Vision House.

Step 2: Buy the houses that grant extra garage slots
Step 1: Fast travel to Hakusan Mountain and buy the Hakusan Mountain Lodge for 635,000 CR. This adds your 4th Car Display Locator allowance and the 10% credit bonus.
Step 2: Once the Gold Stamp is unlocked, purchase Vision House for 1,500,000 CR. That completes the maximum setup, taking your ceiling to 6 display slots.

Step 3: Place Car Display Locators in the Customizable Garage
Step 1: Fast travel to a house you own, preferably the Hakusan Lodge or Vision House. Open the main menu and go to the Customizable Garage tab.
Step 2: Select Customize Garage to drop into the free-camera editing mode, where you can place props and locators directly from the library.
Step 3: Open the Prop Library and find the Car Display Locators. Purchase the additional locators that your house perks have unlocked, then position each one on the floor where you want a car to sit.
Step 4: Hit Save Garage before leaving the builder. If you skip the save, none of your locator placements will apply.

Step 4: Assign cars and confirm it worked
Step 1: Open Display Cars in the garage menu and pick vehicles from your collection to fill each locator you placed.
Step 2: Confirm the result by counting the active display positions in the garage. If you placed locators after buying both houses, you should see up to 6 cars on show. If a slot stays empty, you either skipped Save Garage or have not placed enough locators yet.
Step 3: To let other players see your setup, flip the Visitor Permission toggle from closed to open.

If you only want one upgrade, the Hakusan Mountain Lodge is the best-value pick thanks to that 10% credit bonus, and it nudges you from 3 to 4 display cars. Add Vision House later when you have the Gold Stamp and the credits to spare, and you'll have the full six-car showroom — just remember that none of it appears until the locators are placed and saved.
