The Pool Noodle Glove is one of the newest gloves in Slap Battles, and it does not use the usual slap-count unlock. Instead, you have to earn the Return to Sender badge through a single, specific interaction with the Beachball Glove. Get the timing right once and the glove becomes yours.
Quick answer: Have another player equip the Beachball Glove and launch their beach ball at you, then slap it back hard enough that it flies into the person who threw it. Landing that hit earns the Return to Sender badge, which unlocks the Pool Noodle Glove.
What you need before you start
The unlock depends entirely on the Beachball Glove, so at least one player in the server needs it equipped. You can be holding any glove yourself, since your only job is to reflect the ball.
- One player equipped with the Beachball Glove to launch the ball.
- A second player (you) to slap the ball back. Any glove works for this role.
- Enough room to line up the return so the ball travels back at the thrower.
Note: The Pool Noodle Glove is reported to be unobtainable in private servers, so run the attempt in a public match with someone you have coordinated with.
How to earn the Return to Sender badge
Tip: There is a second way to send the ball back. Using the Reverse glove’s ability first, then having the Beachball user slap their ball toward you, can also redirect it into them.
How to confirm the unlock worked
Success is easy to verify. When the reflected ball hits its owner, the Return to Sender badge notification appears, and the Pool Noodle pedestal changes from requiring the “???” badge to being available. From there you can walk up, press E to use it, or equip it from your Gloves list.
The attempt fails and needs a retry if any of the following happens:
- The returned ball misses the original thrower.
- Another player interferes and hits the ball before it lands.
- The ball is not travelling fast enough when it reaches the thrower.
If the badge registers but the glove will not equip right away, that points to a temporary game bug rather than a mistake on your end. Rejoining the game usually clears it, and any progress you earned stays saved while you wait for a patch.
