How to Unlock the Skelicorn in Adopt Me (Halloween 2026)

The Skelicorn is a Legendary pet added to Adopt Me! on October 9, 2026, as part of week 2 of the Halloween Event. You cannot simply walk up and buy it. The pet starts as a pile of bones locked inside a cage near the Manor, and the shop slot stays locked until you revive it with a Lightning Lever pulled from the Crypt.

Quick answer: Open coffins in the Crypt with Crypt Keys until you find the Lightning Lever, install it in the machine beside the Skelicorn cage near the Manor to revive the pet, then buy it for 120,000 Candy Corn.

The Skelicorn cage and what it costs

The Skelicorn sits in a large metal cage on the Halloween map, close to the Manor and the campsite area. Inside the cage are scattered bones, not a living pet. Next to the cage is a small building with a switchboard that reads “Install Lightning Lever.” That switchboard is the revival machine, and it is empty until you bring it the lever.

The required cost is 120,000 Candy Corn. The lever makes the pet available for purchase, but it is not a free reward. The event ends on October 31, 2026; after that, the Skelicorn is available only through trading.

Crypt Keys you need first

You open Crypt coffins with Crypt Keys, so stock up before you head down. There are two ways to earn them, and both refresh regularly throughout the event.

Complete daily event tasks for up to 4 keys per day.
Defeat the boss in the Ghost Gallery minigame for 1 key per win.

Keys sit in your backpack until you use them. You will spend one per coffin inside the Crypt, so carry several before you start digging for the lever.

Find the Lightning Lever in the Crypt

The Lightning Lever is an uncommon, untradable item that drops from the coffins inside the Crypt. The Crypt is near the Manor and can be entered at any time. It has four levels of coffins, and you open each one with a single Crypt Key.

Enter the Crypt and open coffins with your keys. A coffin rewards either Candy Corn (1,000 to 3,000), a Crypt Twig, or the Lightning Lever. One coffin on each level hides a ladder.

Find the coffin with the ladder on each level and climb down to the next floor. There is no fixed coffin that always holds the lever, so keep opening until it appears in your rewards.

Once the prompt “You found Lightning Lever!” appears, the item is stored in your backpack. You now have everything needed to revive the pet.

Reaching the ladder coffin on the fourth level leads to the Mummy Spider. Claiming it collapses the Crypt and resets all four levels, which lets you clear the coffins again for more chances at the lever.

Install the lever and revive the Skelicorn

Head back to the switchboard beside the Skelicorn cage. Open your backpack, select the Lightning Lever, and choose “Install Lightning Lever.” Pulling the switch triggers a cutscene where lightning bolts strike the cage and the Skelicorn awakens.

Buy the Skelicorn and confirm it worked

After the revival, walk up to the cage and interact with it. You will see the prompt “Buy Skelicorn for 120,000 Candy Corn each?” Confirm the purchase, and a “New Pet Discovered! SKELICORN” card appears. That card is how you know the unlock is complete and the pet is in your inventory.

If you are still short on Candy Corn, perfect Ghost Gallery rounds pay up to 5,000 each, pet needs pay 200 apiece, and the Stray Cat by the Manor gives 50 for one food item per in-game day. The 120,000 total works out to roughly 24 flawless Gallery rounds, or fewer with the 25% Candy Corn gamepass.

If the Lightning Lever will not appear

Some players say Crypt runs begun before the update released on October 9 can leave the lever out of the rewards. To work around this, finish the current run, reach and claim the Mummy Spider to collapse the Crypt, and then start the Crypt again. The lever should then be among the available coffin rewards. This workaround is based on community reports, not an officially documented drop method.
