Season 3 provides the sole way to obtain Voidrex, the last entry in the Evomon dex. It cannot be found in the wild, obtained through a lucky egg, or bypassed with a shop bundle. Advance story mode until the Altar of the Oath, finish the scripted boss-trial sequence, and overcome the Shadows of Souls pillar challenge; doing so releases the egg. The instructions that follow presume a maxed team, since success depends on timing and damage thresholds more than raw power.
Quick answer: Go to the Altar of the Oath, finish Lilian’s three trials, defeat the five Shadows of Souls pillars and Voidrex, then collect the egg — hatch it, raise Voidor to 121, and evolve it.
Voidrex dex entry #999 and its evolution line
Know the target before spending hours on the route. Voidrex is a Dragon-type beyond the numbered public dex, positioned beside the NPC-facing Voidor. At any point, open the Index and inspect entry #999 for its requirement text; after the clear, that entry provides the confirmation.
| Field | Detail |
|---|---|
| Dex number | #999 (final listed slot) |
| Element | Dragon |
| Evolution line | Voidor (#998) into Voidrex (#999) |

The pillar fights expect a Level 210 team with SSS (555) talent, so bring your best. A focused core plus a couple of counter-picks is enough, and swapping in the right type matters far more than a few extra levels. The recommended core is Magmaxor (Fire), Cyanknight (Electric), Celesthorn (Psychic), and Snaerolf (Ice), rounded out with Boogle (Water) or Clipexor/Gogurt (Dark).

Cyanknight is the linchpin. It needs the Relay legendary trait so its stat buffs carry over to the next creature when you swap. Equip the Blossomsea Spirit Stag set as well, which restores 10% HP on any turn a creature buffs instead of attacking, and the Nether Wandering Spirit for extra ultimate energy.
You also need to be far enough into progression to reach the void area. The Breakthrough to Ascend 7 quest gates this stretch, and it asks for three separate clears: defeat Arcapex at Thunder Cliffs, win 5 PvP battles through global matchmaking, and reach Floor 110 of the Tower in Maincity.

If your bench is thin, farm the seasonal bosses to fill it out. Solaris Isle hosts the giant Wispreign boss, and other hubs hold their own encounters that drop shinies, talent upgrades, and evolution items you will want before stepping into the pillars.

Reach the Altar of the Oath and clear Lilian’s trials
Season 3 changed the Island Map and placed the Altar of the Oath in Expedition Isles. Fly to it and speak with Lilian. Her three battles drive the sequence that unlocks Voidor’s portal, leaving the pillar challenge unavailable until all three are complete. Approach every fight as a scripted puzzle: turn control and defense removal matter more than simply piling on damage.
Sentinels’ Oath: the simultaneous defeat rule
The opening trial uses the paired bosses King of the Flying and King of the Thunder, and both need to be defeated during one turn. The first attacker gains a shield against damage, while defeating them on different turns resets the battle. Use the initial turns to reduce their defense, then unleash both ultimates in the same turn for a simultaneous defeat.
Guardians’ Oath: Magmaxor and Snaerolf under a heal timer
Magmaxor, Snaerolf, and a companion make up the second trial, which includes a 20% HP healing condition and requires a kill by turn 8. Bring a Magmaxor of your own, eliminate Snaerolf first to remove the pair’s support, and have an early attacker such as Thor Lord defeat the opposing Magmaxor before time expires. Correct action order is more valuable than simply chasing maximum damage.
Flamines’ Oath: the Goliath 3v4 trial
In the last trial, you face Goliath, Whisperine, and Clipexor while outnumbered. Build Hone on your own Clipexor until it has the required attack value, and use an early burst attacker such as Boltonia to decide which targets remain after each turn. Set up before attacking, then use individual blows strong enough to clear each damage threshold rather than distributing chip damage among four enemies.

Clear the five Shadows of Souls pillars
After Lilian’s sequence is complete, a portal opens into the void chamber, containing the challenge pillars and a large central door. Approach Voidor and press E to speak with it. The lit trial pillars will not activate before that exchange. Every pillar contains a different Voidrex variant and combines high defense and heavy damage mitigation with its own punishing modifier.
| Pillar | Modifier |
|---|---|
| Envy | Any hit above 5% of max HP is an instant KO; immune to status and stat drops |
| Greed | Fully heals whenever HP falls below 20% |
| Sloth | Restores 10% max HP every turn |
| Wrath | Gains 50% lifesteal and +50% damage |
| Pride | No physical damage on odd turns, no special damage on even turns; ignores weather |
- Envy: Never hit above the 5% cap. Set Boogle’s Sandstorm for fixed chip damage over time and buff your defenses while it wears down.
- Greed: Stack Iron Fortress and Fighting Will II on Cyanknight, then punch through the final 20% in one Prism Beam III before it can heal.
- Sloth: Buff your attackers until per-turn damage outpaces the 10% heal, then swap Snaerolf in for super-effective Ice damage.
- Wrath: Buff defense to shrink its lifesteal and buff attack to burst it down quickly.
- Pride: Count turns as 1, 2, 1, 2 and attack only on odd turns using Snaerolf’s Glacial into the special Ice move Swift Freeze III.

The Void Jar is a different encounter. That legendary item calls three void monsters to the Ancient Boss Hall. Clearing the pillars is the sole source of the Voidrex egg; neither a purchase nor a drop can replace them.

Defeat Voidrex and claim the egg
Activating the central arena triggers a cutscene where Voidrex fuses the elemental souls, then the multi-phase fight begins. Voidrex carries five souls, and each one borrows powers from two of the pillars you just beat — including the odd/even damage immunity — so read the active phase before you commit an attack.
Open with Cyanknight and Celesthorn, and use the Blossomsea Spirit Stag set so Cyanknight heals every turn it buffs rather than attacks. Spend the first phase stacking Iron Fortress and Fighting Will II toward maximum defense and special attack (+30 / +300%), then use Prism Beam III on valid turns to erase phases in a single hit. When the third soul phase knocks out your active creature, bring in Magmaxor, Snaerolf, or Clipexor. The fourth phase leans on self-buffs and status ailments instead of big attacks, so use that window to buff a sweeper to max and clean up the remaining health bars.
Defeat Voidrex, then let the closing dialogue with Voidor finish so the quest awards Voidor’s Prismatic Egg. The clear is reflected in Index entry #999 when its story requirement is gone. If the requirement remains visible, at least one pillar has not been beaten.
Hatch the egg and evolve into Voidrex
The egg gives you a Voidor with at least SSS (555) talent and its own blue-tinted base color. From here it is a short hatch and a long climb to Level 121 before evolution.
Evolution raises every stat, as the before-and-after numbers below show.
| Stat | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| HP | 520 | 605 |
| ATK | 243 | 324 |
| DEF | 176 | 233 |
| SP.ATK | 239 | 319 |
| SP.DEF | 169 | 222 |
| SPD | 150 | 210 |
The route is done when dex #999 no longer lists a story requirement and the evolved Dragon Voidrex is sitting on your team. If that entry still shows a condition, an earlier pillar or trial is unfinished, and you can jump back to whichever step you skipped.
