Controls, stamina pips, passing habits, and gadget timing that decide matches in Repotted’s no-referee soccer game.

Illegal Soccer looks like a joke until the scoreboard says 0–2. It is a real match — eight players, a timer, a neon honeycomb goal — that also hands out revolvers, grappling hooks, jetpacks, and oil. New players lose because they treat the guns as the game. Goals win. Everything else is a tool for stealing the ball or stealing time.

Quick answer: Left Click kicks, Right Click passes or requests the ball, F tackles and lobs, Space dribbles, and Shift sprints. Keep at least one stamina pip in reserve, pass to an open teammate instead of soloing, and hold your gadget until it stops a breakaway or opens a shooting lane.

Illegal Soccer controls: kick, pass, tackle, dribble, sprint

Every action you need in a match sits on five inputs. The control prompts appear on the right side of the screen during play, so glance there if a key does not respond the way you expect.

Right Click does double duty, and that is the most underused button in the game. Off the ball, it tells the carrier you want the pass. On the ball, it sends it. If you spend a match holding Left Click, you are shooting when you should be building.

Space is your 1v1 answer. Use the dribble move to beat a single defender who has committed, not to run through three of them. Once you are past, look up immediately — the shot you get after a dribble is usually worse than the pass you get after it.

Stamina pips: never arrive on empty

Four green pips sit under your hotbar. They gate sprinting and the movement gadgets, and they are the closest thing this game has to a referee. Burn them jogging from your own half and you will reach the box with nothing left for the moment that matters.

The habit to build is simple. Sprint in short bursts to close a gap or contest a loose ball, then release and let the bar refill while play develops. Save a full pip for the counterattack, the recovery run, or the jump you need to beat a slide. An empty bar during an opponent’s break is how a one-goal game turns into a two-goal game.

The same logic applies after a goal. The celebration spark is bait. Jog back, let the pips refill, re-check your two gadget slots, and look at the clock before the restart.

Passing beats dribbling, even with guns on the pitch

Ball hogging is the single most common beginner mistake. Holding possession feels safe, but it gives defenders time to surround you and lets the goalkeeper set their angle. A one-two around a gunner is still the highest-percentage play in the game.

Check the floor rings before you release the ball — your team shares a ring color, and the other color is a turnover waiting to happen. Spread out instead of clustering around the carrier, and move diagonally so the passer can actually see you. Three separate options are much harder to defend than three players stacked in the same lane.

When you do shoot, do not shoot at the keeper. A centered attempt is the easiest save in the game. Move the ball first so the keeper has to shift, then finish toward the far corner or the back post. If the keeper is already square to your shooter, one more pass is worth more than more power.

Tip: turn on assisted passes while you are learning. It makes locking onto a teammate far more consistent during quick attacks, when you do not have time to line up a manual pass.

Lucky Blocks and gadget timing

Lucky Blocks spawn around the pitch during a match and hand out weapons and movement tools. You get two hotbar slots, so what you carry is a real decision. Two guns on a striker means you are not shooting the ball.

The rule that keeps you out of trouble is to use a gadget only when it changes a soccer action — winning a ball you would otherwise lose, reaching a header you cannot jump to, or stopping a breakaway you cannot catch. Rarity does not win matches. Timing does.

ToolBest moment to use it
Grappling hookYanking yourself onto a loose ball or out of pressure
JetpackBeating a slide, reaching a header, or changing the attack angle
Revolver / bazookaStopping a breakaway or clearing the keeper before a shot
Rocket punchRemoving the player who is the immediate scoring threat
Force fieldAbsorbing an incoming hit while you still hold the ball
BarricadeSealing a shooting lane in your own box
OilCutting a passing lane in your defensive third

Target priority matters more than proximity. A disruption tool spent on the player about to shoot is worth far more than the same tool used on whoever happens to be nearest to you at midfield.

Oil and barricades can work against you

Oil does not check jerseys. Anything you spill will make you slip too, along with your own teammates, so dropping it under your feet in a scramble is a self-inflicted turnover. Put it across a lane you do not intend to run through.

Barricades behave the same way. They block a route, which redirects the attack rather than ending it. Place one with the keeper’s position in mind, then immediately cover the side you just left open. A barricade that protects the near post is an invitation to shoot far post.

Set up your settings and practice area before you queue

Open the settings menu and turn assisted passes on. This is the single change that most improves early matches, because it stops passes from drifting to nobody during fast breaks.
Leave automatic item use switched off. You want to decide whether a gadget goes toward a goal, an escape, or a defensive stop — automatic firing spends it for you at the worst possible moment.
Read through the keybinds and adjust anything that feels awkward. Hesitating over which key tackles is how a clean challenge turns into a foul you cannot be carded for but still lose the ball from.
Go to the practice area and repeat three things — a pass and reposition, an angled shot away from the keeper, and a defensive tool activated against an incoming hit. Leave only when you can do all three without looking for the button.
Join a live server and pick a job before kickoff. Striker, chaos, or keeper — say it once in chat, then play it. Five players all chasing the ball carrier is how the opposing striker gets a free afternoon. You can launch Illegal Soccer on Roblox and drop straight into a match of up to eight players.

Beginner mistakes that cost matches

Shooting straight at the goalkeeperChange the angle first, then finish into open space
Firing gadgets the moment they are availableHold them for a breakaway, a shot, or a clear scoring chance

Chasing only the ball carrierTrack the second attacker and the passing lane behind you

One more thing worth saying plainly. There is no verified script or aimbot for this game, and executors get accounts permanently banned. If you are losing dribbles to gunfire, the fix is a better gadget pairing and faster passing, not a third-party tool.

The loop is short once it clicks. Check your ring color, keep a pip in reserve, move the ball through teammates, spend a gadget only when it wins the ball or the box, then reset. Players who learn that rhythm outscore players with the flashier loadout almost every time.
