Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight — All 20 Tricorner Sand Timer Trophies

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight — All 20 Tricorner Sand Timer Trophies

The Tricorner district in Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight hides a set of Batcave Trophy collectibles shaped like Sand Timers (often called hourglasses). Tracking them down feeds directly into the "Quite the collection, Master Bruce." trophy for displaying every Batcave Trophy back at the cave.

Quick answer: Tricorner City Area contains 20 Sand Timer collectibles, not 10. They appear as trophy icons on the map once you unlock the district's Tower using Batgirl's hacking ability.

What the Tricorner Sand Timers are

Each Gotham district holds a themed set of small collectibles that build into a single large Batcave Trophy. Tricorner's theme is the Sand Timer. Collect all 20 in the district, and the assembled trophy becomes available to place on a customization plate inside the Batcave.

Sand Timers are part of the wider Batcave Trophy collection that also includes one trophy per main story mission. Finishing every district set plus every mission trophy unlocks the "Quite the collection, Master Bruce." achievement.

Requirements before hunting them down

Sand Timers are scattered across rooftops, alleys, interiors, and elevated platforms throughout Tricorner. They will not all show on the map until the district is fully revealed.

Open-world accessFree roam of Tricorner opens after the New Beginnings mission in Chapter 1.

Batgirl becomes playable during the Chapter 4 mission "Batgirl Begins," so the most efficient route is to push through the main story until she joins the roster, then return to Tricorner to sweep up collectibles.

How to track each Sand Timer

Step 1: Travel to Tricorner and locate the district Tower. Switch to Batgirl and use her Hackarang on the Tower's terminal to bring the district's map icons online.

Step 2: Open the map with the Options button and filter for trophy icons. Each Sand Timer in Tricorner appears as a small trophy marker once the Tower is active.

Step 3: Place a custom pin on the nearest unclaimed icon and fast travel to the closest SubWayne Station, then glide or drive to the marker. Trophy icons disappear from the map as you collect each Sand Timer.

Step 4: Check progress in the collectibles menu. Tricorner shows a counter that climbs toward 20 of 20 Sand Timers; the assembled Batcave Trophy unlocks once the counter is full.

How to confirm completion

Verification happens in two places. The Tricorner section of the collectibles tracker should read 20/20 Sand Timers. Back in the Batcave, the corresponding Sand Timer trophy appears in the prop selection wheel and can be placed on any customization plate.

If the count stops short, the most common reasons are an inactive Tricorner Tower (some icons stay hidden) or an unfinished interior segment behind a barrier that requires a specific character ability, such as Catwoman's whip, Robin's tech suits, or Batgirl's Hackarang. Switch characters at a fast travel point and revisit the marker.

Where Tricorner fits in the wider trophy hunt

Tricorner is the largest single-district collection in the game, with double the count of every other district. The remaining city districts each contain a 10-piece themed set.

Tips for working through Tricorner efficiently

🦇
Note: Sand Timers do not respawn once collected, and there are no missable Batcave Trophies in the game. You can mop up Tricorner at any point after finishing the main story.

Use Batman's glide for rooftop clusters around Sionis Industries and the Iceberg Lounge, where Sand Timers tend to sit on elevated air conditioning units, antennae, and ledges. Switch to a Batmobile for ground-level timers tucked into alleys and docks along the district's edge. When a marker appears inside a building, look for an unlocked side door, vent, or hackable terminal, then bring whichever character matches the access point.

Place pins liberally and clear icons in clusters of three or four before returning to a SubWayne Station. Combined with crime stoppages, AR Trials, and WayneTech Caches in the same area, a single sweep of Tricorner can knock out multiple achievements toward the platinum.
