Candy progress does not save. If you die and respawn you keep your count, but leaving the server wipes it, forcing you to gather all 15 again from scratch.
Grab the flashlight first
Several candies sit in pitch-black rooms and in the Backrooms maze, where shadow monsters roam and will chase you down. A flashlight sits on a white shelf beneath a sign reading REQUIRED. Pick it up with the E prompt before heading into any dark section, since you cannot navigate those corridors safely without it.

The candies are tucked into the upper facility, the outdoor yard, and the Backrooms. None are down in the caves reached by the lift, so skip the elevator entirely. Here is how the count breaks down by area.

Candy locations by area
The Outdoors (2)
Use the hand scanner next to the shutter marked Outdoor to reach the grassy field. One candy corn sits in the far corner to the left of the entrance, near a tree. The second is red candy resting on the grass along the outer perimeter wall. Watch for the floating black cube hazard as you hug the wall.
Freezer (3)
Three candies share this area. Turn left from the entrance toward the scrap recycler and check the corridor to its left for the first. Turn right from the entrance and look at the shelf on your left for the second. The third rests on top of the Culio vending machine near the entrance, sitting on a red crate beside the machines — it blends in, so look closely.
Backrooms (1)
Use the handprint panel to get into the yellow Backrooms. An entity will chase you here, so don’t stop moving. Near the back, jump through the open ceiling-tile shaft to reach a hole in the window, where you’ll find a candy wrapped in green and yellow.
First floor of the lab (3)
Go toward the stairs, then turn right into the hallways marked by traffic cones. On a shelf to the left is a black candy. Another is on a barrel close to the Backrooms entrance. Farther along, look behind a tube in the corridor with tubes and caution tape. In the leaf-covered hallways, you’ll also find a candy next to a large ornamental pumpkin, with a fire extinguisher beside it.
Second floor (2)
One candy sits on top of the vending machines near the subway area. The second is in the office area on this floor, resting on a table or countertop.
Fourth floor (2)
Reach the top of the staircase and turn left into the room there for the first candy. Continue on to the computer room to find the second sitting on the desk.
Garage (1)
