The Crystal Seed quest in Lineage Piece asks for ten seeds, but the map only holds six of them at any one time. That mismatch is the whole puzzle. You cannot brute-force it by searching harder, and there is no seventh island hiding a spare. The route is a loop, and the loop is timed.
Quick answer: Collect all six seeds across the six islands, wait 10 minutes for them to respawn, then return to any four of those same spots to finish at 10/10.
How the Crystal Seed respawn timer works
Each of the six spawn points holds exactly one Crystal Seed. Picking it up clears that point until the respawn window elapses. Roughly ten minutes later, the seed reappears in the same place, under the same tree or beside the same rock, with no variation in position.
Because the tracker sits at Collect 10 Crystal Seeds (0/10), the practical route is two passes. The first pass takes you from 0/10 to 6/10. The second pass only needs four of the six locations, so pick the four that are quickest for you to reach.

Since the timer runs while you play, spend the wait farming mobs or a boss rather than standing around. By the time you finish, the first seed you grabbed will already be back.

Every seed sits on an island you can reach directly from the Teleport menu, and five of the six sit under a tree. Use the table as your checklist, then read the notes below for the two spots that need a bit of climbing.
| Island | Landmark | Terrain note |
|---|---|---|
| Dawnwind Village | Under a tree near the shore | Ground level |
| Deeproot Jungle | Beside red mushrooms | Ground level |
| Frostborn Island | Under a tree above an igloo | Snowy cliff ledge |
| Jujutsu Highschool | Under a tree by a pond | Ground level |
| Fossil Island | Under a tree on a grassy hill | Slight incline |
| Elysian Island | Under a tree on a cliff edge | Past the main stairs |
Dawnwind Village and Deeproot Jungle
The two starter islands are the easiest stops. On Dawnwind Village the seed sits under a tree close to the beach and dock area, a short run from the teleport pad. Deeproot Jungle puts its seed flat on the ground next to a cluster of oversized red mushrooms, which are the landmark to aim for rather than the tree line.
Frostborn Island
This is the one seed that is genuinely hidden. From the spawn area, head toward the igloo and then climb the snowy cliffs directly above it. The seed rests under a tree on the ledge overlooking the igloo, so if you are still at ground level you are too low.

Jujutsu Highschool
Head for the pond after teleporting in. The seed is tucked under a tree on the bank, in the open and at ground level, so it is one of the faster stops on a repeat lap.

Fossil Island and Elysian Island
Fossil Island keeps its seed under a tree on a grassy hill, a short climb from where you land. Elysian Island is slightly more involved. Run up the main stairs, keep going past them, and look for a tree sitting right on the cliff edge. The seed is at its base.

How to confirm each Crystal Seed registered
Standing on a seed brings up a Pick up prompt. Once you use it, the game returns an Obtained Crystal Seed confirmation and the quest tracker increments, moving from Collect 10 Crystal Seeds (0/10) up through 4/10, 6/10 and so on.
Use that counter as your only source of truth. If it has not moved after a pickup, the seed did not register, and the fastest check is to glance at the tracker before you teleport away rather than after you have crossed the map.
Once the tracker hits 10/10, the collection stage is done and you can hand the quest in. The route stays the same on any future run, so the six landmarks are worth memorising if seeds are needed again.
