Lucilla Team Comps in Wuthering Waves: Glacio Chafe and Echo Skill Setups

How to pair Lucilla as a sub-DPS in either her Glacio Chafe or Echo resonance mode.

How to pair Lucilla as a sub-DPS in either her Glacio Chafe or Echo resonance mode.

Lucilla is a 5-star Glacio Rectifier in Wuthering Waves who plays as a sub-DPS, and her two resonance modes decide which team she belongs in. Glacio Chafe mode slots her next to Hiyuki, while Echo mode turns her into an Echo Skill enabler for damage dealers like Sigrika. Because her buffs and damage type swap with the mode, you pick the team before you build her.

Quick answer: Run Hiyuki + Lucilla (Glacio Chafe) + Chisa for a frost team, or Sigrika + Lucilla (Echo) + Shorekeeper for an Echo Skill team. Set her resonance mode to match the main DPS before starting combat.

How Lucilla’s two resonance modes change her team role

Lucilla builds Trace through her Basic Attack Stage 3, Resonance Skill, and Intro Skill, then spends 150 Trace to enter Reminiscence with her Resonance Liberation, Clear As Day. Her nuke, Letting It Go, counts as Basic Attack DMG in Glacio Chafe mode and as Echo Skill DMG in Echo mode. That single difference is why she fits two very different teams.

She does not need any Energy Regen to use her Liberation, so both builds focus on Crit, ATK, and Glacio DMG instead. In Glacio Chafe mode she adds Basic Attack DMG scaling and Glacio Chafe support, while in Echo mode she provides multiple Echo Skill casts and Echo Skill DMG buffs.

Glacio Chafe team: Hiyuki, Lucilla, Chisa

This is Lucilla’s most direct team and the current peak of the Hiyuki frost comp. Set Lucilla to Resonance Mode – Glacio Chafe so her kit feeds Hiyuki’s frost damage system instead of competing with it.

Hiyuki is the hypercarry that pours consistent Glacio Chafe damage into targets. Lucilla adds more Glacio Chafe stacks, brings Glacio RES Shred and Glacio Chafe DMG amplification, and lands burst damage with her Liberation. Chisa fills the healer slot, and her Outro Skill raises the maximum stacks of Negative Statuses on an enemy.

Lucilla’s signature weapon, Freeze Frame, also matters here. At R1 it grants 12% ATK, gives the wielder 30% Glacio DMG Bonus after inflicting Glacio Chafe, and raises every teammate’s ATK by 24% for 30 seconds. One stack of Snow Rust provides 8% Glacio RES Shred and 60% Glacio Chafe DMG Deepen, and her contribution scales up sharply if she reaches S2 or you pair her with a highly invested Hiyuki.

Rotation for the Glacio Chafe team

Open with Chisa and run her Forte cycle until her Outro Skill is ready.
Swap to Lucilla, cast her Resonance Skill to gain Photo stacks, then fire her Resonance Liberation for burst damage.
Switch to Hiyuki and use her Resonance Liberation to nuke. Fill her Forte during the Foreclaimed Self state, enter the Iai stance, perform three Basic Attacks and a Heavy Slash, then recast her Resonance Liberation.

Note: low-sequence Lucilla is not always a clean upgrade over Lynae for normal Hiyuki teams. Lynae still delivers stronger direct buffing and personal damage in many setups, and Lucilla pulls ahead mainly when Hiyuki’s Glacio Chafe damage is pushed high, especially at S6 Hiyuki.

Echo Skill team: Sigrika, Lucilla, Shorekeeper

Set Lucilla to Resonance Mode – Echo for Echo Skill teams. This comp ignores Glacio Chafe and instead leans on Echo Skill damage, with Sigrika as the cleanest main DPS partner.

Sub-DPSLucilla (Echo)Moonlit Clouds (5-pc)

Sigrika scales off Echo Skill DMG and benefits directly from Lucilla’s multiple Echo Skill casts, which feed her Blessing of Runes passive. Lucilla layers in Echo Skill DMG buffs and her own off-field damage, while Shorekeeper heals, prevents one death, and adds DMG buffs through her Stellarealm and Outro Skill. Verina works as the simpler replacement if Shorekeeper is busy elsewhere.

Rotation for the Echo Skill team

Start with Shorekeeper and build her Concerto gauge until her Outro Skill is available.
Swap to Lucilla, generate Photo stacks, and cast her Resonance Liberation at three stacks to enter Reminiscence and deal damage.
Switch to Sigrika with an Outro Skill. Use three Basic Attacks, then her Resonance Skill for two runes. After her Resonance Liberation she enters a Divergent state, so cycle through all her abilities for the bulk of the team’s damage.

Other Echo Skill main DPS options

Lucilla’s Echo mode is flexible, so Sigrika is not your only option. Galbrena and Phrolova both scale off Echo Skill DMG and can use her support, though they are not always her ideal teammates by default.

Main DPSWhy it works
GalbrenaScales off Echo Skill DMG; Lucilla’s multiple Echo Skill casts enable Galbrena’s Forte.
PhrolovaBuilt around the Echo Skill archetype, and Hecate’s off-field attacks need multiple Echo Skill casts. Treat Lucilla as a strong optional support rather than a required pull.
QiuyuanWorks as a support alongside Lucilla, adding more Echo Skill DMG buffs that boost her own output.

Lucilla as a main DPS

Lucilla can take the main DPS slot, but only as a high-investment route. Low-sequence Lucilla gives more value as a sub-DPS or support, while a high-sequence Lucilla with her signature weapon becomes a realistic carry.

For Echo mode main DPS, pair her with Qiuyuan since he fits Echo-style damage. For Glacio mode main DPS, Sanhua leans into her direct Glacio damage. Shorekeeper or Verina round out the team as the healer. If your Lucilla is highly invested, avoid forcing her into a Hiyuki team unless Hiyuki is also highly invested, since both characters will fight for field time.

Weapons and echo sets by mode

Freeze Frame is her best-in-slot weapon in both modes. Stringmaster is the strongest standard 5-star alternative, with Whispers of Sirens and Rime-Draped Sprouts also viable, while Augment is the budget 4-star pick for its Crit Rate.

ModeEcho setMain echo
Glacio ChafeWishes of Quiet Snowfall (5-pc)Glommoth
EchoMoonlit Clouds (5-pc)Impermanence Heron

For main stats, both builds want a 4-cost Crit Rate or Crit DMG piece, two 3-cost Glacio DMG echoes, and two 1-cost ATK% echoes. In Glacio Chafe mode, raise the priority of Basic Attack DMG Bonus on substats since that is her damage type; in Echo mode, focus purely on Crit and ATK. She needs no Energy Regen in either case.

The short version: stays consistent across investment levels. Decide whether you are building a frost team around Hiyuki or an Echo Skill team around Sigrika, flip Lucilla into the matching resonance mode, and gear her with the right echo set before you start. That single choice settles her weapon, her stats, and the teammates she belongs next to.
