Lumber Tycoon 2 Secret Badge: How to Get It in The Hunt: Roblox 20

The secret badge in Lumber Tycoon 2 is one of the tougher unlocks in The Hunt: Roblox 20, but a mid-event update trimmed most of its busywork. The cave that used to require a puzzle to enter is now open by default, so the run comes down to talking to a skeleton, cycling a special globe, and carrying a few items to the right places.

Quick answer: Enter the open cave, get the skeleton’s permission, click the correct globe 18 times until it turns orange, drop it in lava, then deliver three bunker items to earn the purple axe and the badge.

What the nerf changed for the Lumber Tycoon 2 secret badge

A post-launch update made the quest much simpler in two ways. The developer placed a wooden truss inside the pit at the secret cave entrance, letting you climb directly down rather than complete the former entry puzzle. You no longer need to craft planks or use dynamite to open the cave.

If you followed an older walkthrough, skip the dynamite entirely. You no longer need to buy explosives from the tool shack to blow open a barrier, and you do not need to build a plank to reach anything.

An older clue tied to the quest also lives on the roof of Wood R Us. A hidden ladder inside the store climbs through the ceiling to a rooftop note, but it is a leftover breadcrumb from the pre-nerf hunt rather than a required step now.

What to bring before you start

Two purchases make the run far smoother, and both are worth grabbing at Wood R Us before you head underground.

A Work Light from Wood R Us, so you can see inside the dark cave.
A car or truck, so you can haul all three relics in a single trip instead of walking them one by one.
An axe. Buy one from the store cashier, or use an upgraded axe you already own.

Get permission from the skeleton

Climb down the truss ladder now installed in the entrance pit to reach the secret cave. This location once required a puzzle, but players following an old route can simply descend here.

Continue through the cave to the skeleton NPC. Speak with it, then choose “I seek permission” from the dialogue options. Doing so flags the quest, allowing the following steps to register.

Run the wood quest and find the orange globe

Chop down a tree, cut it into logs, and take a piece of wood. Chop the wood yourself; loose pieces left by other players will not count toward your progress.

Load the cut log and haul it to the event area next to the Geek NPC outside Wood R Us. Using a truck lets you carry a whole tree section at once instead of shuttling small pieces.

Deposit the wood into the green-glowing event chute beside the NPC. Each piece pushes the meter, and clearing the delivery quest rewards you with purple bags.

Open the purple reward bags. Inside them you are looking for globes, so keep cycling bags until you spot the right one.

Locate the globe that changes color when activated, cycling through purple, black, and orange. Click it exactly 18 times to lock it in its final orange state, then stop; further clicks will take you past orange.

The bag stage is the slowest part of the run, so expect to open several before the correct color-cycling globe appears.

Sacrifice the globe and collect the three relics

Take the completed orange globe far into the cave, reaching the lava section. Keep hold of it as you travel.

Put the orange globe into the lava opening on the right. The mechanism will activate and open the next door.

Enter the purple room and collect its three relics. Place all of them in your vehicle to transport them together.

Open the bunker and deliver the three items

Drive the three relics out to the bunker structure, which sits in the snowy area of the map.

Place each of the three relics in a bunker input slot. The blast doors will open, giving you access inside.

Open the supply boxes inside the bunker to receive three distinct items, then deliver each one to its correct target.

Confirm the badge and claim the purple axe

When all three items are in the correct places, a bright flash fills the screen and the purple axe appears in your hands. These signs mean the secret badge has been awarded, so either one confirms you’re finished.

The quest is solo-locked per run. If you are playing with friends, only one person earns the badge each attempt, so everyone else has to repeat the full chain to get their own copy.
