Marvel’s Wolverine runs on a fixed, linear path. There are 30 main story missions spread across nine chapters, and each one flows straight into the next as Logan moves between Telambang, Canada, Madripoor, and Japan. Knowing the order helps you gauge how far you are, spot which missions hide collectibles, and jump back to specific chapters later for cleanup.
Quick answer: There are 30 missions across nine chapters, opening with Back in Action and ending with Brave New World. Any mission can be replayed from the Nightmare Cabin after you finish the Homecoming trial.

Each chapter travels to a new location, and the back half of the game loops back to earlier regions before the finish. Madripoor gets the most return trips, with a final detour to Japan and a stop in an Unknown area.

Collectibles in each mission
Twenty of the 30 missions contain collectibles. There are three types to track: Nightmare Doors, which sit at the end of purple tree roots and open a short trial that awards up to 4 AP; Whiskey Bottles, found by following blue scent lines for more AP; and Material Crates, located through controller audio cues and on-screen pings. Crafting suits from crate materials raises Wolverine’s health, so crates matter most on harder difficulties.

None of these are missable. Whiskey Bottles and crates tend to sit out in the open, and Nightmare Trials usually take about a minute, so a completionist run adds little time over a story-only playthrough.

Boss fight missions
Five missions center on a named boss. These are also the story checkpoints most likely to draw you back through Mission Replay for trophy cleanup.
| Mission | Boss |
|---|---|
| Last Meal | Omega Red |
| For Our Future | Sentinel Prototype |
| Death’s Match | Deathstrike |
| Red Right Hand | Sabretooth |
| No Coming Back | Nathaniel Essex |
How long the story takes
Most players finish the campaign in around 15 hours, with a fuller playthrough landing between 15 and 20 hours. Missions typically run about half an hour, though a few are shorter set pieces or boss encounters. Raising the difficulty adds a little time, but not a lot.

How to replay missions
Mission Replay unlocks early, so a missed collectible never forces a fresh save. After completing your first Nightmare Trial during Homecoming, you can revisit any finished mission from the Nightmare Cabin.

New Game Plus after the credits
Finishing Brave New World and the final Nightmare trial unlocks New Game Plus. A fresh run carries over your levels, Adaptations, Suits, and more, and it raises the level cap from 36 to 40 while adding new techniques and adaptations. That combination gives a second playthrough a different feel from the first while keeping the same 30-mission structure intact.
