Marvel's Wolverine is now available to pre-order for PS5 after Insomniac Games closed out the June 2026 State of Play with a long gameplay reveal and immediate ordering details. The game comes in two versions, with a small price gap between them, and the only meaningful difference is cosmetic content plus a handful of progression points. Logan's solo outing is set to launch on September 15, 2026, exclusively on PlayStation 5.
Marvel's Wolverine editions and prices
There are two confirmed editions at launch. Insomniac has hinted that more may follow, which could point to a physical Collector's Edition, but nothing beyond Standard and Digital Deluxe is confirmed right now.
| Edition | Price (USD/GBP) | Format | What's included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $69.99 / £69.99 | Digital and physical disc | Base game plus all pre-order bonuses |
| Digital Deluxe | $79.99 / £79.99 | Digital only | Base game, all pre-order bonuses, five suits, five claws, three extra technique points |
The Digital Deluxe Edition costs $10 more than Standard. Beyond the three technique points, everything it adds is purely cosmetic, so the choice comes down to whether you want exclusive looks locked in from the start. Insomniac has confirmed that suits and claws outside the Deluxe set can still be earned through normal in-game progression, so the base game is not short on cosmetic variety.
Pre-order bonuses for every edition
Pre-ordering any version, digital or physical, unlocks the same set of bonuses at launch. These are light but useful, and the Classic Brown suit in particular is one of the most requested Wolverine looks from the comics.

- Early Access Suit: Classic Brown
- Early Access Claws: Reflective Claws
- 1 additional technique point
- 4 PlayStation avatars
The technique point gives the skill tree a small head start, and the early-access suit and claws simply unlock cosmetics ahead of when you would normally reach them.
What the Digital Deluxe Edition adds
For the extra $10, Digital Deluxe stacks five exclusive suits and five exclusive claw variants on top of the pre-order bonuses, plus three more technique points. The Age of Apocalypse suit is the standout here, drawing from one of the most well-known X-Men storylines.
| Exclusive suits | Exclusive claws |
|---|---|
| Incredible | Smooth-Edged Claws |
| Savage | Hollow Blade Claws |
| Age of Apocalypse | Thick Claws |
| Night Hunt | Serrated Spine Claws |
| New Leather | Tapered Claws |
The edition also includes 3 additional technique points, which sit on top of the single point from pre-ordering, for a total of four early in the skill tree. None of the suits or claws affect combat or progression beyond those technique points.
Where to pre-order Marvel's Wolverine
Both editions can be reserved now. Digital copies are available through the PlayStation Store, and the Digital Deluxe Edition is exclusive to that storefront. If you want a disc on the shelf, physical Standard copies are listed at major retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and GameStop.
Insomniac had held off on opening pre-orders for a long stretch, saying it wanted to show more of the game first before letting players commit.
That changed once the extended gameplay segment aired during the showcase, which is when ordering went live across storefronts.
Release date and what you're pre-ordering
Marvel's Wolverine launches September 15, 2026, as a PS5 exclusive with a Mature rating. The reveal followed Logan tracking captured mutants, the Morlocks, who have been taken by the Reavers, a cybernetic mercenary group tied to Bolivar Trask. Jean Grey appears as both an ally and a key figure among the captured mutants, while Sabretooth, Mystique, and Omega Red are confirmed to cross Logan's path.
Combat is built around fast, brutal melee with the adamantium claws, stealth sections, and a Last Stand mechanic that triggers Logan's Healing Factor when he takes heavy damage. The journey moves across the frozen Canadian wilderness, Tokyo, and Madripoor, with a motorcycle chase shown to break up the close-quarters fighting. Liam McIntyre voices Logan.
If your goal is just locking in the lowest price, the Standard Edition covers the full game and every pre-order bonus. Step up to Digital Deluxe only if the exclusive suits and claws, plus the small head start on technique points, are worth the extra $10 to you. Keep an eye out before launch in case Insomniac confirms an additional edition.
