Every quest falls into one of three groups. Knowing which group a quest belongs to tells you what unlocks it and what to expect from it.

You know the quest is done when the final objective ticks off, the quest leaves your active log, and the reward screen appears. Friendship Quests also add friendship points with the character involved, so expect that bump alongside any items.
If the quest stalls, it is almost always because a requirement has not been met rather than a bug. Check that the giving character is at the needed friendship level and that any prerequisite Story or Realm Quest is already complete. Once those conditions are satisfied, the quest becomes available and follows the standard objective-to-reward flow.
Disney Dreamlight Valley has expanded steadily since its 2022 launch, with new characters, quests, and mechanics added through regular updates, so the lineup of available quests keeps growing across the base Valley, Eternity Isle, and Storybook Vale.
