Midnight Ghost Skin Unlock Guide for ST79 in Neverness to Everness

Midnight Ghost Skin Unlock Guide for ST79 in Neverness to Everness

The Midnight Ghost livery in Neverness to Everness is a full-vehicle skin for the Novus ST79 sports car. It is not a direct quest reward. Instead, unlocking it requires finishing a side quest, buying a specific high-tier property, placing the Replica Ghost Car anomaly furniture inside it, and leveling that furniture to rank 6. You also need to own the ST79 itself for the skin to do anything.

Quick answer: Complete the Drift Away, Legend! side quest in Miguel District to obtain the Replica Ghost Car anomaly furniture, place it in Fenglin Villa (Tycoon Rank 13, 8,000,000 Fons), upgrade it to Level 6, then buy the Novus ST79 (600,000 Fons) and apply the Midnight Ghost skin at a Rampage Players garage.

Total cost and requirements

The Midnight Ghost is gated behind the most expensive property in the game and a long City Tycoon climb. Before you start, confirm you can reach the Fons and rank thresholds below, because the side quest reward alone does not grant the skin.

RequirementDetail
Side questDrift Away, Legend! (Miguel District, quest giver Sota)
Story prerequisitePrologue 2: Good Business, Better Treasure
City Tycoon RankRank 13 to purchase Fenglin Villa
PropertyFenglin Villa, Green Wall Slope, 8,000,000 Fons
Anomaly furnitureReplica Ghost Car, upgraded to Level 6
VehicleNovus ST79 from Novus Vehicle Dealership in Bridge Crossings, 600,000 Fons
Approximate Fons outlay~8,600,000 Fons (excluding furniture upgrade materials)

Step 1: Complete Drift Away, Legend! in Miguel District

Step 1: Travel to Caltrop Lake in the Miguel District and enter Natsunari Tofu in Yurutown. Speak with Sota, the tofu shop owner, to start the quest. On the map, this side mission first appears as "Ghost Racer" before renaming to "Drift Away, Legend!" in the log.

Step 2: Work through the delivery and race objectives. You will move Sota's car between checkpoints, deliver tofu to Xanthium at Food First, return to the shop, and then drive a series of races against challengers, including Bai Yang on Whitetail Ridge Road.

Step 3: Win the final Midnight Ghost race against the ghost version of your own car and return to Sota. Quest completion grants Hunter Level EXP x250, Annulith x20, Fons x5,000, Senior Hunter Guide x6, Colorless Dye x6, and Beetle Coin x10,000. More importantly, it unlocks the Replica Ghost Car anomaly furniture for use in your inventory.

Note: Finishing the quest does not give you the skin. It only unlocks the furniture that is later required to apply it.

Step 2: Reach Tycoon Rank 13 and buy Fenglin Villa

Step 1: Push your City Tycoon rank by placing furniture in your existing homes to raise comfort value and by earning Fons through Cafe by Origen shops, commissions, and main story progress. Fenglin Villa requires Rank 13, which is the top property tier.

Step 2: Visit a Leon Estate Group agency and speak with Monica. Purchase Fenglin Villa at Green Wall Slope for 8,000,000 Fons. This is the only property in the game where the Replica Ghost Car can be placed. The other four properties (Wiener Apartments, Eden Apartments, Skyview Halls, Golden Capital) cannot host this anomaly furniture.

Step 3: Move into Fenglin Villa and place the Replica Ghost Car from your Anomaly Furniture inventory. Compatible placement is only available once Tycoon Rank 5 has unlocked the anomaly furniture slot system, but the villa itself enforces the Rank 13 gate.

Step 3: Upgrade Replica Ghost Car to Level 6

Step 1: Open the Anomaly Furniture menu while inside Fenglin Villa and select Replica Ghost Car. Each level reduces deployed characters' vehicle durability loss further. Level 1 is granted by quest completion; subsequent levels consume Fuel Experience and other furniture materials.

Step 2: Feed Fuel Experience and Anomaly Furniture Materials into the piece until it reaches Level 6. Materials come from City Tycoon activities, daily commissions, and exchange rewards. There is no shortcut, this is the longest part of the unlock.

You will know the threshold is met when the furniture displays Lv. 6 in the inventory and the Midnight Ghost livery entry stops showing as locked in the ST79 modification menu.

Step 4: Buy the Novus ST79 and apply the Midnight Ghost livery

Step 1: Drive or fast-travel to the Novus Vehicle Dealership in Bridge Crossings. Talk to the manager, select Browse New Rides, and purchase the Novus ST79 for 600,000 Fons. The skin is exclusive to this car model, so no other vehicle will accept it.

Step 2: Locate any Rampage Players garage (blue car icon with a cogwheel on the map). An early-access garage sits near Moomin Street in the Herland area. Drive in with the ST79 selected as your active vehicle and speak to the customization NPC.

Step 3: Open Modify, then the paint job or full vehicle livery panel. Select Midnight Ghost from the ST79 skin list and confirm. A small Fons fee applies for the modification. The car repaints immediately after confirmation, and the livery is saved to that vehicle.

Why the Midnight Ghost may still appear locked

If the Midnight Ghost option is greyed out after completing the side quest, one of these conditions is missing. The skin checks all of them at the modification menu, not just quest completion.

ReasonFix
Replica Ghost Car not placedPlace the furniture inside Fenglin Villa from the Anomaly Furniture menu.
Furniture below Level 6Upgrade using Fuel Experience and Anomaly Furniture Materials until Lv. 6.
Placed in the wrong propertyOnly Fenglin Villa accepts it. The other four homes will not register the effect.
ST79 not ownedPurchase the Novus ST79 from Novus Vehicle Dealership in Bridge Crossings.
Wrong skin type selectedChoose the Full Vehicle Livery entry labeled Midnight Ghost, not the partial Livery slot.

The Midnight Ghost is one of the most expensive cosmetics in Neverness to Everness because it stacks a side quest, an endgame property, an anomaly furniture grind, and a vehicle purchase into a single unlock chain. Plan the roughly 8.6 million Fons spend around your Cafe by Origen passive income and City Tycoon climb, and treat the side quest as the start of the process rather than the finish.
