Mistfall Hunter: How to Prepare at the Warehouse Before a Run

Set up your stash, gear, skills, and camp upgrades at Windrest before you queue into the mist.

Set up your stash, gear, skills, and camp upgrades at Windrest before you queue into the mist.

Every successful run in Mistfall Hunter starts before you load into the mist. The warehouse is your shared stash back at the Windrest camp hub, and it holds the gear, weapons, and materials you banked from earlier extractions. Because dying in a run wipes everything you carried in, the point of a warehouse visit is simple. You pull out equipment you can afford to lose, tune your build, and queue up only when your loadout is ready.

Quick answer: From the Windrest camp, open the warehouse to equip gear from your stash, set your skills and talents, spend Gyldenblood on camp facility upgrades, then pick solo or trio on the play screen and queue into a Gyldenmist zone.

What the warehouse does in Mistfall Hunter

The warehouse is persistent storage at camp. Anything you extract with, including Gyldenblood, weapons, armor, and crafting materials, lands here and stays safe between runs. It is separate from the run inventory you carry into a zone, which only survives if you defeat a Returner and extract with a Soul of Return.

That split matters for how you prepare. Whatever you equip from the warehouse is at risk the moment you deploy, since a death in the field strips the run inventory. So the warehouse is where you make the trade between bringing strong gear and keeping it safe in storage.

Prepare at the Windrest camp step by step

Open the warehouse from the Windrest camp hub and equip your gear. Pull the weapons, armor, and consumables you want to run into the mist. Keep in mind anything equipped can be lost if you die, so match the value of your loadout to the risk of the queue you plan to enter.

Set your skills and talents for the class you are playing. Skills are tied to your equipped weapon, and combo inputs derive from the stance you carry. Work through the talent graph, keeping in mind that some branches are mutually exclusive, so you cannot take both sides of a split.
Adjust your build if the plan changed. Respecs are free while you are in camp, so you can rework talents between runs without penalty. Use that to tailor a build for solo self-sufficiency or a squad role before you commit.
Spend Gyldenblood on camp facility upgrades. Gyldenblood is your main run currency and your camp progression resource, so banking it and reinvesting it in Windrest is how your setup improves over time.
Go to the play screen, choose solo, duo, or trio, and queue. You deploy into a Gyldenmist zone with the exact loadout you assembled, then face Corroded enemies and rival Gyldhunters chasing the same loot.

Warehouse stash versus run inventory

StorageWhat it holdsRisk on death

Run inventoryGear you equipped plus loot picked up in a zoneWiped if you die before extracting

Note: because equipped items move into the run inventory when you deploy, leaving your best gear in the warehouse is the safer play if you expect heavy PvP. Bring only what you can replace.

How to confirm your loadout is ready

You know the preparation worked when your equipped slots show the gear you pulled from the warehouse, your skills match your current weapon stance, and your talent points are committed on the graph. If a skill is missing, check that the right weapon is equipped, since skills are weapon-gated. Once the play screen accepts your party choice and queues, you are set to load in.

Running through a short pre-run check each time keeps the routine tight. Confirm gear, confirm skills and talents, spend Gyldenblood, then queue. That order mirrors how experienced extraction players approach every drop, preparing at camp, executing the Returner objective, extracting clean, and banking the haul back in the warehouse.
