Mitya Release Date in Genshin Impact: Voice Actors and Lore

Here's the expected Version 7.2 launch window for Mitya, his full voice cast, and what his Stellar Linchpin means for his kit.

Here’s the expected Version 7.2 launch window for Mitya, his full voice cast, and what his Stellar Linchpin means for his kit.

Mitya is an Electro character from Snezhnaya who has appeared as a non-playable face throughout the region’s story before stepping into a playable role. He works as a specialist at the Royal Energy Commission, carries a sentient scarf that waves and reacts on its own, and uses an Electro Stellar Linchpin rather than a Vision. His playable debut lines up with Version 7.2.

Quick answer: Mitya is expected to arrive in Version 7.2, which is scheduled for November 4, 2026. His exact banner phase is not confirmed, so he could appear in either the first or second half of the update.

Mitya release date and current status

Status: Teased, not fully confirmed as playable. HoYoverse posted Mitya’s official character design and profile on its social channels on September 29, 2026, which is the standard drip-marketing step that precedes a character’s playable release. That teaser points to Version 7.2 rather than the current 7.1 build.

Version 7.2 is set to launch on November 4, 2026, immediately after Version 7.1 ends on November 3. If Mitya runs in the first half of the update, that November 4 date would also be his banner debut. A second-half slot would push his banner later into the 42-day patch cycle.

Who Mitya is in the story

Mitya is a scientist tied to the Royal Energy Commission of Snezhnaya and the Armory Palace. He first showed up in the Transcendence Trailer “Sudden Snow” and later turned up across Chapter VII of the Archon Quest, including acts such as Everwinter Without Mercy and Wraith’s Nocturne. He is a central figure in Project Mistilteinn, where his energy research produced Anti-Celestia Energy by reverse-engineering the power held inside Stellar Linchpins.

He is a frequent visitor at the Korolevskiy Theater, where he watches performances by Odette and Vodyanitsa while scribbling research notes instead of paying attention to the show. His scarf is sentient, reacting to his actions and even choking him to stop him from leaking classified information. Other characters describe him as talkative, observant, and prone to long science tangents.

Mitya’s element, weapon, and Stellar Linchpin

Mitya’s element is Electro, but like other Snezhnaya characters he does not hold a Vision. He uses a Stellar Linchpin, shown on a golden garter on the side of his right thigh. An Electro Vision was briefly shown during the Version 7.0 story, which HoYoverse later corrected to the Electro Stellar Linchpin. Every Stellar Linchpin holder released so far has been a 5-star, which lines up with his expected rarity.

His profile lists the title “Rules Set at Naught” and the Constellation Nodus Gordianus. His gameplay centers on Stellar-Conduct, the Cryo-plus-Electro reaction. Leaked kit details describe a 5-star Catalyst that scales with Elemental Mastery, deploys summoned units and a Polestar Field, and can function as both an on-field carry and an off-field support. These kit numbers come from pre-release testing and can still change before launch.

Valeriy, a 4-star Electro sword support, is widely expected to arrive alongside him as a shielder and reaction-team buffer that pairs directly with Mitya’s Elemental Mastery scaling.

How to know when Mitya is confirmed

Mitya’s banner and precise release time become official with the Version 7.2 Special Program livestream and the redeemable codes that accompany it, typically broadcast ahead of the patch. Until that livestream confirms his phase, the November 4 date reflects the version launch rather than a locked banner slot. Once the stream airs, his exact wish window, signature weapon, and banner partners will be confirmed and any remaining leaked kit figures should be treated as final only after the update goes live.
