MM2 of The Locust runs on the same round loop veterans know from Murder Mystery 2, except the killer slot is a monster and the lobby is full of copies with nearly identical names. Most first sessions go badly for two reasons. Players join a clone of the experience, or they spend the round sprinting in the open instead of holding a corner. Both are fixable before you ever meet the Locust.
Quick answer: Open the round-based lobby, join the developer’s Roblox group, claim the 150-key gift from the lobby chest, then play your Innocent rounds from an elevator corner or on top of warehouse crates until the timer runs out.
Find the correct MM2 of The Locust experience on Roblox
Searching the exact title returns several places with the same name, thumbnail style, and monster art. The round-based version — the one with Innocent, Sheriff, and murderer roles, coin pickups, and a victory screen — is published by Reize Games. A separate survival listing sits at place ID 113385977463481 under THE STALKERS OG, and House of The Locust is a different experience entirely, built around keys and keycards rather than rounds. Strategies do not transfer between them.

Add to Google Preferences →Roles, round flow, and how you win
Your role is assigned at the start of each round and shown on screen before anyone can move. Read it. Acting on a role you assumed you had is the fastest way to die in the first ten seconds. Innocent is the default and the most common draw, and your only job is staying alive until the round ends, at which point the VICTORY! banner appears for the survivors.

| Role | What it means for your round |
|---|---|
| Innocent | Unarmed. Survive the full round by hiding and breaking chases. |
| Sheriff | The only role that spawns with a gun. One shot decides the round. |
| Murderer / Locust | Hunts everyone else. Eliminations show up in the on-screen feed. |
Maps are floor-based and labelled in the interface, so a spawn on Floor 7 is a fixed reference point you can call out to other players. Note the floor you land on before you start moving — it is the quickest way to describe where the killer is without typing a paragraph mid-chase.
Hiding spots that hold up as an Innocent
Two categories of spot reliably outlast a round. The first is a tight corner the killer has to walk into and turn around in, with an elevator interior being the clearest example. The second is elevation — the top of a stack of crates in a warehouse puts you outside the sightline most players sweep at eye level, and it costs the killer time to path up to you.

Neither spot works if you are watched while entering it. If the killer has eyes on you, keep moving and break line of sight first, then commit to cover. When you do get chased, run toward a junction with more than one exit and cut around solid corners instead of down a long straight hallway. Rounds are regularly won by a single juke at a corner rather than by outrunning anyone.
Tip: A room with one door is a trap, not a hiding spot. Check the exits before you tuck in.
Coins, inventory, and spectating between rounds
Gold coins are scattered through the map during live rounds, and picking them up is the main reason to leave a safe corner at all. Grab the ones on your route rather than crossing open floors for a stray pickup. The left-hand buttons cover Inventory, Shop, and Spectate, all reachable mid-match without leaving the server.

Spectating after you are eliminated is worth the time on your first few sessions. Watching how the killer sweeps a floor tells you which corners get checked every round and which ones get skipped.
Claim the free 150 keys from the group gift
Keys are the currency behind unlocks such as the Rainbow Locust, and the fastest chunk of them is free. Joining the developer’s Roblox group unlocks a one-time gift of 150 keys collected inside the lobby.
Separate from the group gift, the lobby runs a FREE REWARDS FOR LIKES! board tied to milestones at 200, 400, and 600 likes on the experience. Those payouts unlock for everyone once the count is hit, so there is nothing to do beyond liking the game and checking back. Daily rewards and a like reward sit in the same menu.

Why the gift or rewards do not show up
Three things account for nearly every failed claim. You are in a copy of the game rather than the version tied to the group, so no gift exists to claim. You joined the group after the server session started and need to rejoin the experience for the check to re-run. Or you already claimed it on that account, in which case the reward is spent and will not return.
The build is still early and the developer flags bugs openly, so expect input hiccups and occasional visual oddities. When a button does not respond, retry once with the prompt visible before rejoining, since a rejoin ends your current round.
The habits that carry across every round are unglamorous. Confirm you are in the right lobby, read your role instead of guessing it, take the free keys once, and treat corners and crate stacks as your default rather than open hallways. Everything else is reaction speed, and that comes from rounds played.
