Modern Warfare 4 editions and prices
There are three ways to buy the game. The Vault Edition and the Standard Edition are both available digitally on every launch platform, while the physical Standard Edition is sold on consoles only. The Standard Edition costs $69.99 and the Vault Edition costs $99.99.

Xbox Play Anywhere means a single Xbox purchase grants access on both Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC. The game will not release on Xbox One or PlayStation 4, and it will not be on Game Pass at launch.
Pre-order bonuses for every edition
Two rewards apply regardless of how much you spend, as long as you pre-order.
Open Beta Early Access comes with all three editions. Digital pre-orders are granted access automatically with no code needed. Physical pre-orders receive a Beta Code at the point of sale from participating retailers. Players who don't pre-order can still join the open portion of the Beta when it opens later this year. Exact timing has not been announced, and the Beta runs for a minimum of two days.
The Hunter Killer Operator Skin is included with both digital editions. It unlocks instantly in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone the next time you open either game, then carries into Modern Warfare 4 at launch. You need Black Ops 7 or Warzone on your platform to redeem it, and the redemption window closes on October 23, 2027.
Vault Edition exclusive content
The Vault Edition layers several cosmetic packs and a battle pass season on top of the base game. Everything below is exclusive to that edition.
Hostile Alliance Operator Pack
Four Operators unlock at launch: Price, Valeria, Ghost, and Blix. Price and Valeria each include masked and unmasked variant skins.
Special Forces Operator Pack
Four more Operators arrive at launch, each with a skin tied to its country of origin and a voice pack in the local language.

BlackCell (one season)
The Vault Edition grants a single season of BlackCell. The season you receive depends on when you play. Pre-order, pre-purchase, or buy the edition and play before or during Season 1 to get Season 1 BlackCell. Buy and play after Season 1, and you receive the current season instead. BlackCell includes 20 Battle Pass Tier Skips and 1,100 COD Points unlocked immediately, a new Operator and Weapon Blueprint, BlackCell variants of select battle pass content, and the full Battle Pass with 100+ rewards. These items become accessible once the Season 1 Battle Pass is live in-game.
DMZ Deployment Bonus
Vault Edition owners receive extra DMZ content as a Deployment Bonus at launch. The exact contents have not been detailed yet.
10% loyalty discount on the Vault Edition
If you own and have played a premium Call of Duty title from Modern Warfare (2019) onward, you can pre-order the Vault Edition at 10% off the standard price, which brings it to $89.99. That discount applies only to the Vault Edition and only through digital pre-order on platform storefronts.
To qualify, the previous game must be owned and played on the same platform account you use to pre-order. Free-to-play and mobile titles do not count. Active Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or PC subscribers who have played a qualifying title through Game Pass are also eligible. How to pre-order on each platform
Step 1: Open your storefront of choice, then search for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. On Steam, Battle.net, the PlayStation Store, or the Microsoft Store, the listing appears with both edition options.
Step 2: Select the edition you want, Standard or Vault. If you qualify for the loyalty discount, it applies automatically to the Vault Edition at checkout on a participating digital storefront.
Step 3: Complete payment. The game appears in your library, and your pre-order bonuses are tied to your account once the purchase confirms.
You'll know the pre-order worked when the game shows in your platform library as pre-ordered or pre-installed, and when the Hunter Killer Operator appears in the Operators menu of Black Ops 7 or Warzone on your next launch. If the skin doesn't show, confirm you bought a digital edition and that you have Black Ops 7 or Warzone installed on the same platform account, since both are required for redemption.
The decision between the two editions comes down to how much time you expect to spend in Multiplayer and DMZ.
