Moonlight Peaks Full Moon: When It Happens and What to Do

The full moon lands on day 15 of every season, unlocking the Awooooo achievement, the Moonflutter fish, and the Moon Goddess.

The full moon lands on day 15 of every season, unlocking the Awooooo achievement, the Moonflutter fish, and the Moon Goddess.

The full moon in Moonlight Peaks is a fixed monthly event that opens three interactions you cannot do on any other night. It also closes part of the town for the day, so it helps to know the exact date and plan your evening around it.

Quick answer: The full moon happens on the 15th day of every season. Stay awake until midnight, go to the Howling Marshes, and talk to a transformed Logan to get the “Awooooo!” achievement.

Full moon date: day 15 of every season

The calendar runs on a set cycle, so the full moon is always predictable. Each of the four seasons lasts 28 days, and the moon reaches its full phase on the 15th of each one. There is no random timing to track.

DurationThe full moon lasts the whole night

If you want to reach it faster, sleep in your coffin repeatedly until the calendar rolls over to the 15th of the current season. Because the moon stays full for the entire night, you have time to finish every full moon task in a single evening.

What closes in town on the full moon

On the 15th, the werewolves gather in the Howling Marshes to wait for their transformation. Because of this, the Howling Hammer is closed for the day, and any town business you needed to handle with Mayor Brook has to wait until the moon passes. Plan any smithing or mayor errands for a different date so you are not caught out.

Note: this is not a night to upgrade your tools, since the workshop is shut.

Unlock the “Awooooo!” achievement

This achievement is only possible on a full moon, because the Logan family members transform into their werewolf forms after midnight. Speaking to any of them while they are transformed completes it. Brook, Ludo, Ridge, and Saga are the werewolves you can approach.

Wait until the calendar reaches the 15th of any season and stay awake past midnight instead of sleeping.
Head to the Howling Marshes and move toward the waterfall in the upper-right part of the area, where the transformed werewolves gather.
Talk to one of the transformed Logans after midnight. The achievement pops once the conversation begins.

Tip: If it does not trigger on your first conversation, speak to a different werewolf before the night ends. It also helps to avoid spending every werewolf’s daily dialogue earlier in the day, so you still have a fresh conversation available at midnight.

Catch the Moonflutter fish at Luna Bay

The Moonflutter fish only spawns during the full moon, and only in Luna Bay. You need a Premium or Enchanted Fishing Rod to reel it in, so a basic rod will not work. It shows up as a large shadow in the water.

This fish is required to finish the Aquarium in the museum, which makes the 15th the one night each season to secure it. At two-star quality it also sells for 330 coins, so it is worth catching extras while you can.

Meet the Moon Goddess

The Moon Goddess descends to Moonlight Peaks around the full moon, appearing on the 13th, 14th, and 15th of each season. You can find her in the Forest and Deep Forest during those days, which gives you a short window to build your friendship with her.

Give her the gifts she prefers to raise your hearts. Reaching maximum hearts matters for full museum completion, because at that point she hands over a Chakra Tuner for the Deity Collection. Missing her window means waiting for the next cycle, so use these three days each season to keep progressing.

What the full moon does not change

The full moon does not alter how your farm behaves. There is no doubled crop growth, no blanket mana bonus, no “Blood Moon” farming rules, and no moon-phase crop multiplier. Do not plan your planting or watering around the full moon expecting a boost, because none of those effects exist. Its value is limited to the three interactions above and the temporary closure of the Howling Hammer.
