Mortal Shell 2: Every Weapon Location for the Lord of War Trophy

Where to find all eight primary weapons across the prologue, Fainweald, and Mammon to earn the Silver trophy.

Where to find all eight primary weapons across the prologue, Fainweald, and Mammon to earn the Silver trophy.

The Lord of War trophy in Mortal Shell 2 asks for one thing: unlock all eight primary weapons. These are the full melee kits, kept separate from the sidearms tied to the Guns, Lots of Guns trophy. Each weapon you claim also pops its own bronze, so you can track your progress one pickup at a time until the Silver drops.

Quick answer: Collect The Iconoclast, Axe & Dagger, Veteran’s Battle Axe, Great Martyr’s Blade, Obsidian Hammer, Black Needle, Clockwork Scythe, and Axatana. The Iconoclast comes free in the prologue; the remaining seven are split across Fainweald and Mammon. Lord of War (Silver) unlocks the moment you own all eight.

All eight weapons and where they are

The weapons are spread across three areas. Two gear pieces sit in the prologue, six armaments (weapons and sidearms combined) are in Fainweald, and the rest are in Mammon. Every weapon can be pushed further at the Tarforge in Marrow Keep, but that upgrade step is not required for the trophy.

The Iconoclast (starting weapon)

The Iconoclast is handed to you early in the prologue, at the same point you unlock the Harros shell. You start the game equipped with it, so there is no route to follow. It counts toward Lord of War automatically, and claiming your first shell, weapon, and sidearm together triggers the You’re More Than a Weapon trophy.

Axe & Dagger (Chapel dungeon)

The Axe & Dagger is an axe paired with a thief’s dagger, and it sits at the end of the chapel dungeon. You need the Chapel Key first before the tower will open.

Find the Chapel Key on a plateau near the Mushroom Village beacon. Pick it up so it registers in your inventory.

Return to the beacon and head left toward the Grisha Hunter encampment. Use the key to unlock the tower and step inside.
Clear the short puzzle rooms. Face the king pillar and walk backward to drop a fake wall, then push the stone blocks onto the two pressure plates, and finally defeat the Armored Knight in the last room to claim the weapon. This pops Deep Cuts.

Veteran’s Battle Axe (The King’s Crypt)

The Veteran’s Battle Axe is tucked inside The King’s Crypt, a cavern dungeon in Fainweald. Follow the dirt path from where you unlock the Proxima shell and you will reach the entrance. Clear the enemies inside and take the axe from the sarcophagus at the far end, which sits behind a breakable wooden barrier. The pickup unlocks Cut You Down to Size.

Great Martyr’s Blade (Martyr’s Prison)

The Great Martyr’s Blade is a two-handed blade found in the Martyr’s Prison, a dungeon just outside the eastern walls of the Citadel of Penance. Enter and interact with the mysterious coin pouch to teleport into the prison. Fight through the tight corridors, pull the lever to open the gate, and deal with the large rolling enemy blocking the way. The blade waits at the end, and grabbing it earns Big Boi.

Obsidian Hammer (Obsidianite Mines)

The Obsidian Hammer is a heavy sledgehammer earned from a boss deep in Mammon. From the Outskirts of Mammon beacon, head west until you reach a quarry with a large pool of water, then drop into the pool to enter the Obsidianite Mines. Work your way down the chasm, landing on the ledges as you fall, until you reach the Prophet of Profane Infinities miniboss at the bottom. Defeat it and the hammer drops, which triggers Stop – Hammer Time.

Black Needle (Sester’s Gate)

The Black Needle is a needle blade tied to a boss fight at Sester’s Gate. Getting across the area depends on ringing bells with a ranged weapon, which forms the paths you need to move forward. Once you reach the arena, defeat the Stray Sisters to claim the weapon. The pickup unlocks Just the Tip.

Axatana (Forgotten Tower)

The Axatana is a transforming weapon that shifts between an axe and twin katanas, and it sits in the lower part of the Forgotten Tower near Sester’s Gate.

From the Sester’s Gate beacon, drop down the ledge past the Rollerball enemy in the courtyard.
Instead of heading into the abbey, turn left and use the jump gate to cross the ravine, which lands you in the Forgotten Tower.
Cross to the far side of the tower with another jump gate and press the plate beside the metal door. Take out the Dagger Sester enemy and lift the Axatana from the niche to earn Dual Wielding.

Clockwork Scythe (Chamber of Becoming)

The Clockwork Scythe is a reward for beating a major boss at The Silent Steps. Make your way through the Chamber of Becoming and defeat Sariel, the Endless. The scythe is granted on the kill, and it unlocks Like Clockwork. Since this is often the last of the eight weapons players collect, expect Lord of War to fire right alongside it.

How to confirm Lord of War unlocked

Each weapon gives an immediate confirmation. When you pick one up or defeat the boss that drops it, its individual bronze trophy appears. Watch for Deep Cuts, Cut You Down to Size, Big Boi, Stop – Hammer Time, Just the Tip, Dual Wielding, and Like Clockwork as you go. The Iconoclast has no standalone weapon trophy because it is covered by the first-weapon milestone.

Once all seven of those bronzes have popped and The Iconoclast is in your inventory, Lord of War (Silver) unlocks on the spot. If it has not triggered, you are missing one weapon, so cross-check your list against the eight above and revisit the location you skipped. There are no time-limited or missable steps here, so any weapon you passed can still be collected later in the run.
