Mutant Plants Base Defense: How to Get Gems Fast and Better Plants (Roblox)

In Mutant Plants Base Defense, two things decide how quickly your base gets stronger: how many gems you can bank and how reliably you land mutated, high-rarity plants. Both are farmable once you understand how the roll counter and the mini-boss drops behave.

Quick answer: To keep mutated plants, set Auto RNG to your top rarities, then switch to manual rolls once the Mutant Tamer counter drops to about 3 remaining. To farm gems, max the Diamond Drop upgrade, start at Wave 31, beat the mini-boss on Wave 35, then stop and restart the run.

Unlock the Mutant Tamer with a Rebirth first

Auto RNG rolls for you, but it only claims mutations you have selected on its list. When the guaranteed counter hits zero, a plant that rolls a mutation you did not enable can be skipped automatically. Your gem total should jump after every cleared mini-boss. If it barely moves, your Diamond Drop level is too low, so return to the Upgrade Zone before running the loop again.

Spend gems on mutation fruits and upgrades

Gems are the currency for turning ordinary plants into stronger, mutated ones. Each Fruit applies a specific mutation at a set chance, and Reversion Fruit resets a plant if a roll goes wrong. Equip Fruits from the Backpack menu under the Fruits tab.

Gems also buy stat upgrades in the Upgrade Zone. Beyond Diamond Drop, Luck Boost helps you land better rolls, while Unit Slots lets you field more plants at once.

Redeem codes for free gems and mutation fruits

Codes are the quickest one-time boost to your gem balance and give free Grenades and Fruits on top. They are case-sensitive, so enter each one exactly as written.

Run the manual-roll trick every time the Mutant Tamer counter nears zero, keep the Wave 31-to-35 gem loop on repeat, and pour the gems back into Diamond Drop and mutation Fruits. That cycle steadily builds a base of mutated, high-rarity plants without spending Robux.
