Everything the NTE 1.2 update adds, from the new tabletop dragon fight to Shinku, Iroi, and the Draco motorcycle.

Version 1.2 of Neverness to Everness pushes the game past its city setting and into a full fantasy world, headlined by a new story episode called “Fighting with a Dragon” and a permanent tabletop mode that ends in a showdown with the Crimson Dragon. The update also brings two new S-class characters, a rideable motorcycle, and a batch of quality-of-life changes.

Quick answer: NTE 1.2 went live on July 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM CST, following a roughly five-hour maintenance window. It adds the “Fighting with a Dragon” episode, the 999 Nights tabletop mode on the Warren Continent, and new characters Shinku and Iroi.

999 Nights and the Crimson Dragon on the Warren Continent

The biggest addition is 999 Nights, a tabletop-style RPG mode set inside Hethereau’s in-universe game of the same name. You play a character on a board and travel across the Warren Continent, a fantasy realm made up of several regions, each with its own quests and storylines. The path through those regions eventually leads to the fight against the Crimson Dragon.

999 Nights uses a separate progression system, so you build your character by equipping weapons and gear that exist only inside the mode. It is a permanent feature rather than a limited-time event, and each run can uncover hidden areas and stories. That means you can return to it whenever you want and replay for different outcomes.

The “Fighting with a Dragon” story episode

Running alongside the new mode is a story episode titled “Fighting with a Dragon.” It introduces a fresh storyline built around the two new characters, Shinku and Iroi, and ties into the fantasy setting of the Warren Continent. The episode is available from the moment the patch goes live.

New S-class characters: Shinku and Iroi

Shinku is a Cosmos DPS who fights with martial arts and can switch between forms to unlock new attack patterns and buffs, including a Rampage form called Surging Crimson. She also raises movement speed while you explore the open world. Her limited banner, Before the Dawn, is live from July 8 through July 29.

Iroi is a Cosmos support built around sustained healing and reviving fallen allies, using mechanics tied to her lamb companions. In the open world, she can interact with small animals to gather character upgrade materials. Her banner, The Lifeline, is scheduled to run from July 29 until August 19 at 05:59 (UTC+8), starting after Shinku’s banner closes.

Two Arc Research Programs launch beside the banners. The Resolve Special runs July 8 to July 29, and the Dreamgate Special runs July 29 to August 19 (05:59 UTC+8). The developers also showed an updated character model for Elyms, the lieutenant of ETD-6, though no gameplay details were shared.

New vehicle: Draco

Draco is a new motorcycle that can move side to side and jump. It is the first vehicle in the game that a character other than the Appraiser can ride, and it supports Shinku directly. When Shinku rides it while wearing her Dragon Knight outfit, the bike leaves a crimson trail as a special visual effect.

If that mail is in your inbox and the new content is loading, the patch applied correctly.
