Neverness to Everness Best Characters Ranked (Version 1.1)

Neverness to Everness Best Characters Ranked (Version 1.1)

Neverness to Everness (NTE) splits its roster into three jobs that decide how a team performs. Characters either push damage, hand out buffs, or keep the squad alive, and the strongest picks in Version 1.1 cover those roles cleanly. The names at the top right now are Lacrimosa, Hotori, Nanally, and Sakiri, with the rest of the cast falling into tighter, more situational spots.

Quick answer: For raw value in Version 1.1, prioritize Lacrimosa, Hotori, Nanally, and Sakiri. They sit in S Tier and slot into almost any team.

NTE overall character tier list (Version 1.1)

The ranking below reflects power, flexibility, and how much value each character returns for the resources you spend pulling and building them. S Tier units are immediate priorities, while C Tier picks are still playable but outclassed.

TierCharacters
SHotori, Lacrimosa, Sakiri, Nanally
AEsper Zero, Chiz, Daffodill, Baicang, Jiuyuan, Hathor
BMint, Adler, Fadia, Haniel
CEdgar, Skia, Aurelia

NTE tier list by role: DPS, Buff, and Survival

Each character is built around one of three jobs. Sorting them by role makes it easier to fill a gap in your team instead of stacking too many of the same type.

ABaicang, Hathor, Jiuyuan, Daffodill, ChizHanielFadia

Note that Esper Zero ranks A Tier overall but earns an S Tier DPS slot. The protagonist speeds up Esper Cycles and self-heals through a passive, which makes them a reliable early-game carry even if specialists overtake them later.

Best NTE characters to pull first

If you want the safest investments, focus on the four S Tier units. They cover every role you need to start clearing content, and none of them rely on a narrow team setup to function.

Lacrimosa: Damage over time Main DPS

Lacrimosa is a Main DPS who stacks a Damage over Time effect on enemies and keeps refreshing it for heavy sustained damage. She can copy enemy combat techniques to adjust her kit to the fight, and she freely switches between Melee and Ranged mode. Her DoT shines against high-HP targets but does less against weaker mobs.

Hotori: Burst DPS and time stop

Hotori is a Sub-DPS built around her Ultimate. She records her allies' used Skills and any triggered Esper Cycles, then recasts them when she activates her Ultimate. That Ultimate also draws her katana and stops time for all enemies, letting her dump a large burst of damage on frozen targets.

Nanally: Consistent single-target DPS

Nanally is currently the strongest damage character in the game. Her follow-up attacks trigger when teammates hit enemies, so she keeps dealing damage even off-field, and she pairs that with excellent ability uptime against single targets. She is also forgiving to play and slots into nearly any team as an Anima character.

Sakiri: Crowd control and team buffs

Sakiri is the standout Support. She groups enemies together to set up strong AoE attacks, clears waves fast, and layers team-wide ATK buffs on top. She struggles against single-target bosses, so treat her as your mob-clear and buff anchor rather than a boss specialist.

🎯
Tip: Sakiri is available through the free S-class selector, making her one of the cheapest ways to lock in a top-tier support.

A Tier NTE characters worth building

These units stay strong but usually need a specific team, a difficult playstyle, or a particular type of content to hit their ceiling.

CharacterStrength
DaffodillTop Break value for shattering boss stagger bars; strong parry and swap tools.
BaicangHigh boss damage across multiple modes, but demands HP management and tight execution.
JiuyuanRanged single-target DPS plus enemy gathering; less AoE and CC than Sakiri.
HathorCharges feather stacks for AoE bursts; the charge animation leaves her exposed.
ChizFree unit with excellent damage if you nail her rhythm-based timing.
Esper ZeroFlexible protagonist with faster Esper Cycles and a self-heal passive.

Daffodill is the priority swap target when you parry with Support Skills against bosses, since her Break damage stuns them and opens a window for the whole team to pile on.

B and C Tier NTE characters

The lower tiers still see play, but each has a clear limitation that caps its impact.

CharacterTierWhy it ranks here
MintBStrong parry potential and low cooldowns, but thin team synergy.
AdlerBProvides team shields and Damage over Time with easy, low-setup play.
FadiaBShares team damage and reflects hits, but offers little beyond survival.
HanielBPure buffer that boosts team damage, then swaps out.
EdgarCSurvival pick with limited overall value.
SkiaCMelee bruiser with shadow CC and a damage-immune shadow form.
AureliaCDamage option outclassed by higher-tier picks.

The roster rewards a balanced core, so pair a top damage dealer like Lacrimosa or Nanally with Sakiri for buffs and crowd control, then round it out with a survival option such as Adler. As Version 1.1 settles in, these S Tier picks remain the most dependable foundation, and the A Tier names give you room to specialize for boss or mob content without falling behind.
