Nicole is a 5-star Pyro catalyst support built around two jobs: handing the whole party a flat ATK buff and parking a Pyro shield on the field. Everything she does scales off her own ATK, so the build is unusually straightforward — stack ATK, hit her Energy Recharge threshold, and let her Elemental Skill do most of the heavy lifting.
How Nicole works
Her Elemental Skill is the core of the kit. Casting it applies Grace of Kenosis to nearby party members, granting a teamwide ATK buff that scales off Nicole's own ATK, and drops a Pyro shield with 250% effectiveness against Pyro damage. Both the shield size and the buff value grow with her total ATK.
After 3 seconds on the field, a non-Hexerei character's buff upgrades to Guidance of Theosis, adding another flat 300 ATK. Hexerei units get this upgrade immediately, which is why she pairs so well with characters from the Hexenzirkel lineup. Nicole's Burst switches her into a coordinated-attack state, summoning Arcane Projections that scale off the active character's ATK and match their element.
Talent priority
Her Elemental Skill governs both the shield and the ATK buff, so level it first. The Burst comes second for stronger off-field coordinated attacks, and the Normal Attack stays near base since she rarely stays on the field.

Best weapons for Nicole
Her catalyst options sort cleanly by how much ATK they stack and whether they trigger off shielding. Angelos' Heptados is her signature and the clear best-in-slot, with a 16.5% ATK substat, a flat 24% ATK passive, and a Pathfinder's Light buff that activates whenever she creates a shield. Off-field Hexerei allies pick up 50% of that DMG bonus too.

TTDS is a real trade-off rather than a free upgrade. The 48% ATK to the next character is strong in hypercarry comps, but Nicole's own shield and ATK buff drop noticeably because her personal ATK falls. Skyward Atlas is the cleaner choice when you just need to push her ATK toward the 4,000 cap without losing shield strength.
Best artifact set
Celestial Gift is the dedicated set and is essentially mandatory. The 2-piece bonus covers her Energy Recharge needs with a 20% boost. The 4-piece grants Light's Guidance after she uses her Skill, giving the team a 20% Elemental DMG bonus matching her Pyro element, triggerable off-field.
With Hexerei: Secret Rite active, Light's Guidance upgrades to Mortal Hymn, pushing the bonus to 40% and applying both Nicole's element and the active character's element. Matching elements don't double-dip. Nothing else competes once you have the set rolled.
If you don't have usable Celestial Gift pieces yet, a 2-piece ATK% combo (Gladiator's Finale, A Day Carved From Rising Winds, or similar) plus a 2-piece Energy Recharge set works as a stopgap. Noblesse Oblige is only worth it if another teammate already holds the Celestial Gift slot.

The number to chase is around 4,000 total ATK, which is where her teamwide buff maxes out. Energy Recharge in the 150–200% range covers most rotations; teams with multiple Favonius users can sit lower, and some setups skip her Burst entirely to keep her rotation short.
How to play her in a rotation
Step 1: Open with Nicole's Elemental Skill to apply the shield and teamwide ATK buff. This is also when Celestial Gift's Light's Guidance triggers.
Step 2: Cast her Elemental Burst if you have the energy, switching her into Silent Contemplation for coordinated off-field attacks.
Step 3: Swap to your main DPS. Non-Hexerei carries need 3 seconds on the to upgrade to the full +300 ATK Guidance of Theosis tier.
Team compositions
Nicole rewards on-field carries that scale primarily off ATK, and she gets even more out of teams that include another Hexerei character to unlock Hexerei: Secret Rite. Durin is the standout partner — double Pyro resonance, an off-field DPS that scales with ATK, and a second Hexerei body all in one slot.

A few synergy notes worth keeping in mind:
- Front-loaded carries like Navia and Ningguang nuke before the 3-second observation window finishes. You lose 300 ATK of buff value if you don't sequence the rotation carefully.
- Mavuika and other burst-window damage dealers face the same timing penalty.
- In Electro overload teams, Nicole competes for a slot with Chevreuse. She's the better pick when your carry scales hard off raw ATK rather than reaction damage.
- Emilie and other Dendro DPS that don't use Quicken or Bloom get a rare off-field ATK buff path from Nicole.
Constellations worth pulling
C1 adds a special Arcane Projection: Unity coordinated attack at 600% of the active character's ATK every 6 seconds, contributing roughly a 15% team damage increase. C2 is the standout — it adds resistance shred, more buff value, and shield sharing in co-op, pushing total team damage by another ~16%. C3 through C5 are minor. C6 jumps back up by adding DEF Ignore, which is one of the rarest buff types in the game.
For most players who already own Durin, the optimal path is signature weapon first, then C1/C2 if the budget allows. If you're starting from scratch, Durin's own constellations are sometimes the better grab since Nicole and Durin appear together in nearly every top-tier comp.
